My kids were so excited to see these for back to school. Used them today for home work. Glad it made it fun .

I’ve been using BIC mechanical pencils for years, and they never disappoint. They're lightweight, comfortable to hold, and write smoothly without smudging. The lead advances easily, and the eraser works surprisingly well for quick fixes. Whether I'm jotting down notes or sketching out ideas, these pencils are always dependable. Plus, they’re affordable and last a long time—what more could you ask for?

From the closeup pics, I thought there was a metal tube extending at the tip through which the lead was projected. Nope, it's just a plastic tip, and what I thought was a tube was the lead itself. I wanted to use these in my tool bag, and leave some in the garage and toolbox in my car for carpentry work, like drawing lines of where to cut. However, the plastic tip won't likely last long when dragged along a straight edge or square which are metal. I'll use these until the plastic tips gets scored up too bad and break off, and then look for a higher grade mechanical pencil (0.7 or 0.9 mm) that has a protective metal tube to hold and support the lead at the tip.

I have six kids in school. These mechanical pencils have been the go-to choice for many years now. They work well, don’t jam, and they’re affordable so mom doesn’t freak out when one inevitably gets lost or broken. I buy 2 big packs and split the first box between all the kids and keep the second for homework and to replace them during the year. I’ve found it cheaper than buying refill lead.

These pencils are the best for school aged kids. I specifically buy the bic extra strength for my two boys because they are more durable and last longer than other mechanical pencils. Also thd extra strength lead tends not to break as easily as other pencils.

These .9mm pencils are actually stronger. I have a heavy hand when I write and I usually snap the lead in most mechanical pencils. but with these ones the lead snaps less often. The color is nice and bright as well so it's easy to find quickly in my junk drawer.

I bought these because the selection of .9 size pencils is limited and I 'll never need to buy another pencil in my lifetime! These are good to use when doing puzzles because they don't tear the cheap paper of the puzzle books as easily as the .7 size.

These pencils are just what I needed. They apparently cannot be refilled, but for the price I guess that's ok. The lead is strong and I LOVE the colors. There's enough in the package to keep one in various places around the house, in my purse, car, etc. I don't think the eraser is to whippie, doesn't erase very well. If they could improve on that, they'd be perfect.

The price was great for 24 ever-sharp pencils with erasers. Why bother sharpening pencils? These are always sharp. I am OLD and seem to make many mistakes in my checkbook so entering info with a pencil is much better than a pen. Also, I use it in my appointment book due to frequent changes of plans. Everyone should have these to use instead of non-erasable pens.

I picked these up for my daughter for school instead of the pencils which require periodic sharpening. We've found the need to stop and sharpen pencils has been a little distraction when our daughter is learning. The mechanical pencils are way more effective, and these do seem to be a little bit stronger than other brands. They still get broken a lot when being used by kids for school, which is why I am only giving them 4 stars, but I think maybe they are slightly better. My kids like the vivid colors of the pencils, and the erasers work well without smudging.
