I purchased these XStrong mechanical pencils for my daughter. These are the only ones she will use for school. She says the lead is way stronger than the regular mechanical pencil. And she also uses them to draw all the time! A big box kasts a long time and she draws every day and uses them at school. So 2 large boxes a year.

I bought these because the selection of .9 size pencils is limited and I 'll never need to buy another pencil in my lifetime! These are good to use when doing puzzles because they don't tear the cheap paper of the puzzle books as easily as the .7 size.

These pencils are the best for school aged kids. I specifically buy the bic extra strength for my two boys because they are more durable and last longer than other mechanical pencils. Also thd extra strength lead tends not to break as easily as other pencils.

As a 7th grade resource teacher, I get asked for pencils multiple times a day, (right up there with, "Is this for a grade/how many points is this worth?" and "Do you have an iPad charger?") Anyways, I really like the BIC brand of mechanical pencils. I've tried them all (250 a school year!) and these pencils break much less, they have more lead, and the lead is stronger because it is a %238.0 or %239.0, as opposed to a %237.0 - the regular lead size. My students LOVE mechanical pencils so much, which is why I keep buying more...and more...and more. Would definitely recommend...and I should purchase BIC stock.

These pencils are just what I needed. They apparently cannot be refilled, but for the price I guess that's ok. The lead is strong and I LOVE the colors. There's enough in the package to keep one in various places around the house, in my purse, car, etc. I don't think the eraser is to whippie, doesn't erase very well. If they could improve on that, they'd be perfect.

These .9mm pencils are actually stronger. I have a heavy hand when I write and I usually snap the lead in most mechanical pencils. but with these ones the lead snaps less often. The color is nice and bright as well so it's easy to find quickly in my junk drawer.

I picked these up for my daughter for school instead of the pencils which require periodic sharpening. We've found the need to stop and sharpen pencils has been a little distraction when our daughter is learning. The mechanical pencils are way more effective, and these do seem to be a little bit stronger than other brands. They still get broken a lot when being used by kids for school, which is why I am only giving them 4 stars, but I think maybe they are slightly better. My kids like the vivid colors of the pencils, and the erasers work well without smudging.

My son is autistic and has fine motor skill deficits. He has a difficult time writing and holding a pencil. Mechanical pencils help him more but the lead breaks so often that it frustrates him. These are perfect. The lead rarely breaks and its bold always.

I’m kind of obsessed with mechanical pencils ✏️ and super particular about them. These 0.9mm %232 BIC mechanical pencils are the BEST! I have purchased these twice now and will continue to purchase them as long as they are available and still a reasonable price.

My child's homeroom teacher asked us to send in pencils that don't need to be sharpened, so we purchased this set. They are vibrant, sturdy, and useful. I appreciate the quality of the pencil over the standard BIC and my child loves it for school. The lead is strong and we truly appreciate the variety of colors in the set!
