I ordered these for my grandsons. They picked them out because that is the kind they use. If it works for them it works for me.

I prefer the thicker lead. It doesn't break as much as the thinner lead and writes with a much smoother feel.

lead too hard. too light on paper. the pencil could be a little larger around. to make it easierto hold.

Definitely not a precision lead. Good for elementary school. would like the same durability in a thinner lead.

The pencils from Bic are great. They have %239 or %237 pencils that are strop and doesn’t break off as easily. Nice school pencils!

They are stronger

I’m kind of obsessed with mechanical pencils ✏️ and super particular about them. These 0.9mm %232 BIC mechanical pencils are the BEST! I have purchased these twice now and will continue to purchase them as long as they are available and still a reasonable price.

These .9mm pencils are actually stronger. I have a heavy hand when I write and I usually snap the lead in most mechanical pencils. but with these ones the lead snaps less often. The color is nice and bright as well so it's easy to find quickly in my junk drawer.

From the closeup pics, I thought there was a metal tube extending at the tip through which the lead was projected. Nope, it's just a plastic tip, and what I thought was a tube was the lead itself. I wanted to use these in my tool bag, and leave some in the garage and toolbox in my car for carpentry work, like drawing lines of where to cut. However, the plastic tip won't likely last long when dragged along a straight edge or square which are metal. I'll use these until the plastic tips gets scored up too bad and break off, and then look for a higher grade mechanical pencil (0.7 or 0.9 mm) that has a protective metal tube to hold and support the lead at the tip.
