Sharp enough to cut through thick rope when working on a project outside to tie down some bins. Very useful in the kitchen to cut tops of packets or if need them to open envelopes. Very useful.

I've happily used these for several years. I just purchased a couple new 3-packs, in the store. The plastic handles now smell horrible. Like herbicide. It burns my throat. I tried washing with soap, twice. No change. I soaked them in white vinegar for about two weeks. Still stinks! Since I use these with food, I decided to throw them away. :=l
