I like other reviewers here am extremely upset about the consistency of this cereal. This is not just a bad batch situation. Every bite of every box has these pieces. One bite actually broke my filling. Dental work is expensive and this needs to be remedied...yesterday.

I understand what people are saying when they complain about the hard pieces and the dust at the bottom fo the box. For god's sake, I broke my tooth on one of those pieces. However, this still is and will always be the greatest breakfast item of all time.

It is not pleasant to bite down on the hard bits found in this cereal. See other reviewers with the same issue by putting "hard bits" in the search box. They appear to be a seed or part of a seed? I would love to hear from Kelloggs what the bits are. I appreciate this might be a "whole grain" but I still don't like them. I have not noticed them in the red berry Special K so I guess I'll stop buying the Original.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Special K seems to be pretty good for you - and it tastes that way too. Not bad, just a bit bland. I’d recommend adding some fruit or berries just to spice it up. Health wise it is a good option for the cost. The packaging is convenient and you do get a lot of cereal for your money.

For about 40 years now, this has been my go to cereal. Sure, I tried all the fruity and marshmallow stuff as a kid but always came back to Special K Original. At one point, it's all I ate for weeks and it helped me lose about 40lbs (I know, not the healthiest idea). I was stressed a lot at the time and it was all I craved. I eventually added more foods back to my diet but one thing remained, I ate Special K Original EVERY morning! I had tried the other Special K cereals too...Red Berry, Almond, Chocolate, Protein...not a fan!! It was ONLY the Original for me and my family. For years, I've purchased 3 or 4 family size boxes every trip to the grocery store then about 2 months ago, it was suddenly gone. I've tried numerous grocery stores and I can't find it anywhere!! What has happened?!!! I'm at a loss!!!! I'm missing my one and ONLY cereal, Special K!!!!!! Is it gone forever?!!! Has it really been discontinued like I keep hearing?!!!!! NOOOO!!!! Say it isn't so!!!!

I bought this variety yesterday because I love the idea of lemon in a cereal. Imagine my disappointment when I opened the box and found only 10 lemon clusters ( teeny , tiny), no oat clusters with blueberries(this was in the entire see-through packaging liner) and HUGE flakes. The dispensing machines should be calibrated as the photo on the box is very misleading. Snd yes, I agree with other posters here that the flakes are too large and tough. Not happy and will not buy again or recommend.

Makes me feel better about starting my day with a bowl. I'm excited to use it to make some scotcheroos (which I usually use a generic corn flake cereal for).
