I have noticed over the last year that original Special K cereal contains extremely hard bits. This has seemingly become a common theme of feedback from what I am reading. Eating the cereal is quite difficult as you need to use an abundance of caution with each chew. Kelloggs, please seriously consider a quality review of your product and adjust the manufacturing process where needed. Very unfortunately, I will likely need to find an alternative product as eating Special K has become unpleasant.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly had not eaten Special K since I was a kid, so when I received this box of cereal, I was curious whether it was still delicious. Well, curious no more: it's so tasty! Really crunchy (as long as you eat it fast), and light, and tasty. Simple and good. I also made Special K bars (like scotcheroos, but with Special K) out of them, and OH MY GOODNESS they're so good. I don't have much to say about Special K that's mind-blowing, but it's a classic cereal, and classically delicious, and you should buy some to remember how good it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was great and very easy to use. It have lots of vitamins B and iron. It also have Folic Acid, no artificial flavor or color. My family loves it. We eat it anytime, it is not only for breakfast. We have it as a snack to and on the go. Sometimes I even use it to fry my chicken, yes I crushed it and use it as part of my batter. I definitely recommended.

I was looking for a cereal that just gives you the satisfied belly and get that brain cranking. Or they are a super good bedtime snack just alone. I recommend to this cereal to everyone of all ages ( if they can chew of course). Buy this cereal! I will buy more when I run out.

This is not the original special K. I was a big fan of the real ''original'' special K and we recently had a craving to have some. I bought a box and to our disappointing surprise these had nothing to do with the original Special K.. The flakes don't look the same nor taste the same. They crunch but not in a good way because of some dubious little bits of hard granular particles. Furthermore, their flavor leaves a funny taste in your mouth. Why would you change a good thing to make it terrible? We will go back to eating Shreddies and Life cereal.

Like many others, I'm a long time customer of Special K. Have always preferred and enjoyed it over any other brands. Sadly, it seems like either the quality control, or manufacturing process, has gone downhill for some time. Definitely is like eating a mix of flakes and rock hard smaller pieces. In the past I thought I just got a random "bad" box. But the number o months, it's every single box I buy. May give these a try in the future, but for now.. will be eliminating Kellogg's from shopping list. Not worth it any more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Special K has always been a favorite of mine, it's like a cross between Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies. For breakfast, I love eating this with any kind of fruit---fresh berries, bananas, even canned peaches and pears. Keep milk to a minimum, though, this cereal goes soggy pretty fast. Bizarrely, this also makes a great coating for oven-baked chicken!

I have been eating cereal since I was a kid (60 years ago) and lately tried a box of Kellogg's Special K original. I couldn't believe how many small hard bits of grit were in it. Like the other many reviewers on this site, I was petrified of breaking my teeth. I eat all kinds of other cereal and have never come across this problem before. If it wasn't for those hard particles, I would actually like this cereal. Shame on Kellogg's for poor quality control!

I’ve eaten this cereal for years and have never encountered the rock-like bits that I have this morning. It’s a new box, just opened, and these bits could break a tooth! Whatever they’ve done to change it, I won’t be eating it any longer. So disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been one of my favorite staple cereals in rotation at my house. Great option for a less sugar cereal with 7g of protein. Tastes great and definitely one of the better tasting rice cereals out there.
