Sacramento Baking Company Sliced Sourdough Bread 32 oz.

Even it’s gluten free but it’s soft and tasty. It’s on my order lists. I recommend this bread

I buy this sourdough bread often and typically buy two loaves as my grands love the taste and freshness.

It seems Sacramento Baking Co has recently changed its Sourdough bread recipe. We have enjoyed this bread for a few years, buy it especially because there is no added sugar and it was also good. However, these past few months it is not the same. There are a lot of big air holes in it as you move toward center of loaf and it does not toast the same. Used to be you could make buttered toast with it and it was soft and chewy. Now, buttered toast acts like stale toast right away, crumbly and crisp. We are seeking a replacement.

Did they change the recipe?

This is the best sourdough available - no other brand comes close.  It actually has a tang like the sourdough you can get on Fisherman's Wharf in SF.   Other sourdough is bland in comparison.  This brand makes rolls also but, unfortunately, Walmart doesn't carry those.
