I've been buying Michelin tires for as long as I can remember. Always had good luck with them. But this new Defender LTX m/s2 Tire is so hard and it creates a rumble/road whine in my truck, especially on Country Blacktop roads. I got a 2024 truck that I'm really proud of but these tires are probably the worst michelins I've ever owned. The dealer said I can swap them but in my size 275-60-20 there's nothing to choose from but a more aggressive tire( no way). I'm hesitant to switch brands but I may have to do that at a dear cost to my pocketbook. ( Dealer has said he would swap tires out for another Michelin but they dont make my size in less aggressive tires as they have really pulled back on choices).Shame on you Michelin for leaving this tire size absent on your other popular quiet tires and making such a hard tire just to get higher lingevity ratings!

I have owned my Tahoe since 2007. When the original Tires needed replaced, I switched to the defender LTX M/S 275/55/20 tires. After switching to the Michelin, tires, I have never used a different brand or style since replacing the original tires.I have over 350,000 miles on this vehicle. I find the ride, handling, performance and comfort to be unmatched!. I have switched all of my vehicles to the Michelin brand tires. They handled the Florida weather with ease. And I find a perform just as well when I travel north. I also purchased a lifetime alignment program and have the tires rotated every 5000 miles. Combining proper maintenance with superior quality makes the 80,000 mile life expectancy of the tires A conservative estimate.

Tires wore faster than should have. After alittle over 30000 miles on them will need replacing. Had rotations done on timely recommended times. These were my first tire type as I always ran the Michelins A/T before on my RAM and they all lasted. I now am researching other brands also, My driving habits at my age and keeping my Truck serviced don't warrant they should be worn so quickly, so frustrated at this point. No off road driving, most just highway or in town, only 1 tire had to be replaced after about 9 months after hitting large bolt. I did like the handling and quietness.

These Defenders LTX tires are being replaced at 30k miles vs the 60k they claim to last. Rotations every 10k miles for the life of the tire. Will not buy again. Bought new tires for a new business and a different brand. Will never buy this manufacturer again.

I’ve used Michelin tires for probably 40 years. I have never had any problems with them. I’m getting old now and my last set of tires aged out and still had more than half of the tread left. Bought a new complete set of the same type of (Michelin Defenders) tires. I suspect these will be my last set before I have to turn in my drivers license as I will be very close to 90 years old by then.

These tires are the new generation and they are the same configuration of the previous generation. They ride smooth and with minimal road noise. Thet wear nice and are durable. I like their performance and handling. Great traction in the snow. I recommend these anytime.

I HAVE BEEN A MICHELIN CUSTOMER FOR YEARS AND HAVE HAD MANY SETS OF DEFENDER LTX TIRES . ALWAYS PLEASED WITH THE RIDE AND COMFORT OF THE TIRES. THIS IS MY FIRST SET OF DEFENDER LTX M/S 2'S. TIRES CAN'T BE BALANCED AND LOPE WHEN DRIVING. DEALER HAS SAID THERE IS NOTHING ELSE THEY CAN DO. IF I CAN'T GET ANY RESOLUTION FROM MICHELIN I WILL TAKE THEM OFF AFTER ONLY 5000 MILES OF USE AND SWITCH TO COOPER. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THESE NEW 2 SERIES TIRES. HELP MICHELIN AS I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR DECADES.

absolutely the right choice for my style driving. haven't been able to check any MS features but no doubt in my mind I will be totally satisfied with them. on the road, quiet, smooth riding, just a hint of whine but nothing to be upset about when you can barely hear them.

I purchased four Defender LTX as research showed they are one of the quietest tires available for a light truck. They truly are. I do a fair amount of highway trips and these tires are amazingly quiet. If you are looking for a good looking quiet tire, you won’t go wrong with the Defender LTX.

This is the 3rd set of this set of tires that I have purchased for this truck. All of them have given me more miles that the warranty will cover and the handling and comfort have always been top notch. I originally purchased them because i was told the noise was very low. This has been true, I hear very little road noise. That’s saying a lot because this truck has been driven across the country 3 times.
