Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love them, this brand is well known for having excellent quality and for so many years having remained the best tires of all time. I have a company with 2 trucks and for 10 years I have only used Michelin tires, in their facilities they have the best customer service, they are fast and thorough with every detail. I put these Defenders on my Thoe, I love the stability it provides to my vehicle and the durability. I take a lot of family trips, and I am in all climates with my car, these tires are all I need, I know I will be safe with them. Excellent quality-price. Having Michelin tires will be your best decision. 100% recommended

Not as good as the original LTX Defender

I was hoping these tires were as good as the previous ones, but I was wrong. These tires are louder and seem to inhibit more road vibration. I have had them balanced again but they still have an issue. The previous LTX Defenders I had were smooth had hardly any road noise and felt more sure footed. This comparison is after the 50 or 60k miles I had on the old ones, up until the day I swapped them out. I don't know who they paid to design these tires but I would hope they get rid of them and find the old team that designed the previous generation tire. The only thing I can say that is about the same is the gas mileage. So I will give a 1 star for at least keeping one aspect of the tire the same. Please get back to being the Michelin brand that used to mean something. I will definitely save my money next time and get a different brand at half the price, it surely couldn't be any worse.

PObyd, we're sorry to read of your disappointment in the Defender LTX M/S2. We will need an inspection of the tires from an authorized Michelin retailer, preferably the selling dealer. Please call us from the dealer's store at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST so that we can get additional info.

Nice ride!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommend these Michelin tires. In January 2024, I replaced tires on my GMC Sierra 1500 with the Michelin Defender tires. I could tell a difference right away. My truck rides smoother, is much quieter, and handles so much better. An added bonus is my improved gas mileage. I will never buy another brand of tires again!

Great tires for all terrains!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 are great tires for modem pickup trucks & full size SUVS. I own a Chevrolet Suburban LT and this tires fit them perfectly, I can feel the difference while I’m driving if how these tires work on any terrain, specially on rainy days. The material is thick and the tires look powerful. I recommend them if you have a large truck!

Very nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These tires are so nice on my vehicle! They definitely feel luxury compared to the thin cheap tires I was driving before. They seem like they will be very durable long-term and I would definitely recommend them to anybody looking for tires, as they seem perfect.

love these tires!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am female, and dont know a whole of technical stuff about tires, but I do know I am really happy to have these tires for my Tahoe. they seem to make the drive quieter and when we hit a slick patch of road while driving in very cold temps the tires dug in and we did not skid. made me feel very safe. a big plus-they look very cool on my Tahoe, and after driving on them for a several weeks the still look brand new.

2016 Ford F250

I recently purchased a set of these Defender LTX M/S2 tires for my F250. Tire size is LT275/65R18. They replaced a set of off road tires that were loud and made for a harsher than normal ride. I've always been a fan of Michelin tires on my trucks but I think these are the best tires I've ever bought. The change is ride quality and noise is nothing less than remarkable. The ride on my truck is much smoother and now it sounds like the interior of a luxury sedan rather than a truck. The truck pulled very slightly to the right with the old tires but the Michelins solved that problem. They look good, they ride good and they're very quiet on the highway (where my truck is used nearly exclusively). I was reluctant to spend so much for tires but I'm very happy I did. Highly recommended.

Amazing Tires

Comfortable, quiet, and stable. I install tires for a living and this is the most popular tire that my shop sells for large SUVs and pickup trucks. I finally decided to try them for myself and they are the best tires I have ever had on my truck. They have incredible my fuel economy by a little over half a mile per gallon and the comfort it unmatched.

Good tire, but very hard ride

I now have approx. 40,000 miles on a set of these. They are in all respects very good tires. The wear seems to be as expected, they are great on wet highways and relatively quiet although as all Michelins do, they seem to be getting noisier as they wear. What I don't like is they are as hard as rocks and with every pothole or manhole it feels like the front of the truck is getting torn off. I had the Primacy's prior to these and for us, they were a much better tire. I don't do a lot of heavy hauling and would prefer the softer ride. I think I'll be going back to the Primacy in the future.

Great tires but slightly under predecessor

I purchased these tires after 6 years and 30k miles on my Michelin Defender LTX M/S. I was a little leery with the UTQG Traction rating dropping to B from the previous A but with tread life listed similarly and great previous performance, I gave them a shot. I've driven 2,500 miles before posting the review. The M/S2 are fantastic on dry pavement and dissipate water very well. Unfortunately, around 35 F they become noticeably harder and break free much easier on cold or wet pavement compared to the previous M/S. With that, my initial assumption is that they have worse performance but herein lies the paradox. While they don't seem great getting moving and break free easy on acceleration, they seem hold true and stop well once in motion. Snow performance is similar to the aforementioned, but again cornering is fairly steady until acceleration is applied. The truck will still go where it's intended, but with considerably more wheel spin than the previous M/S in 2H. MPG appears to be comparable between the 113T SL M/S and 117T XL M/S2. Both ride quiet and have good feel when braking. They have a good look but not overly aggressive and don't pick up too many rocks. I would 100% recommend these for those who rarely experience snow or cold but would probably stick to swapping these out for Michelin Ice X for the cooler or snow filled months or plan to use full time AWD and the possibility of reduced tread life due to the additional slipping.
