Taste

Don’t waste your money

Yes, it's good bourbon. I find it a bit too strong at 45% abv, but that's only personal taste.

It tastes good. But... Is it worth it? Evan Williams is also good and this Members Mark bourbon is more than twice the price, per milliliter. Also more expensive than Jim Beam.

Good bourbon... but...

Was surprised to see this was bottled by Barton 1792 distillery. Awesome whiskey for the price

Good Bourbon

Poor value, not Trader Joe's

I bought 2 bottles in hopes that the fact that this is made at the 1792 distillery. And the fact that it's not expensive. I drank about 2 shots out of the first one and gave it away. told my friend it tastes like the ground. I was hoping it was just that bottle. So I tried the next one and got the same results. I looked it up, and they said you can get these notes if the malt barley is dried using peat moss. This could be the case as they do this with scotch. It's not my kind of bourbon. If you mix it with something, I can tell you it's not as forward. I think that is how I'm going to get the rest of this bottle down. However i probably will not buy this again. I do, however, think their Rum and tequila are pretty good. I compare the Tequila to 1800 and their spiced rum to Captain Morgan.

If dirt were actually a drink

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it. I looked at the label and saw that 1792 makes it. It kind of reminds of 1792 flavor wise. Pretty smooth, especially for the price. Very comparable to whiskeys that cost in the $30-$50 range. Don't expect it to be as good as a 10 year, but I will use it for making Old Fashions on the regular.
