Surprised at how good it is

Really great pot pie, I am critical on prepared food, but this was a wonderful surprise. Tender white meat chicken and the crust is really good.. just be sure to really support the bottom of the tin, it's much thinner than it should be. Would realistically feed 4-5 maybe 6 if you served with a salad.

Won't Buy This Again

Many of the Sam's Club Member's Mark items are a real hit with our family, but this one was a BIG miss. The pot pie was mostly crust, and not much filling (chicken, veggies, and sauce). Plus, the filling had little (if any) chicken flavor. We ended up throwing out over half of the pie...so it was definitely NOT a good-value purchase for us. How about adding some seasoning (i.e., herbs & spices) to the filling? The sauce tasted like plain old wheat paste, and the few pieces of chicken we found had no flavor either. This is Southeast Texas, not Northern Minnesota! Or how about using some In-Club rotisserie chicken in this recipe (instead of just plain boiled chicken breast pieces)? It may add a bit more savory "real chicken" taste to the dish! As soon as our local Sam's Club starts preparing rotisserie chickens again (hopefully SOON!!) we will just buy them instead...a much more pleasing and cost-saving item in our opinion!

Delicious and feeds a crowd

Made this for Mother's Day and my grandma said it was the best chicken pot pie she's ever had, and that's saying a lot. Everyone went back for more. Be sure to put a pan or foil under it while it cooks, as the filling did overflow onto the pan while it was in the oven. It fed my family for days, it's the biggest pot pie I've ever seen. Would definitely repurchase.

UNBEATABLE

This pot pie is phenomenal! It does have great flavor it has excellent chunks of chicken everything about it is superb cook it like you're supposed to you have to take into account whether or not your oven is Odd as far as temperature goes when you're normally cooking anything... this will feed 12 people easy. To those people who say doesn't have any seasoning I think they must be referring to salt and I would have to assume that they overly salt everything because this fed 12 adults all in different houses two couples per house and not one of them had anything negative to say about the seasoning. Yes it's going to Bubble it's a pot pie cook it until the lattice underneath is done so that it's crisp the top will be crisp and the bottom will be crisp it's just ridiculous we're going to buy this pot pie once a month. You cannot make this pot pie for $20 as I have read somebody mentioned.

Good but not great

Our first time having this pot pie. First impression: to say this pot pie will feed 12 is ridiculous! You couldn't fee 12 children with one pie! Also, the lattice is not woven like a lattice pie would be, just the bottom layer of pie crust strips going one way and the top layer of pie crust strips going the other way. Just eye appeal is affected, not taste. We baked it on a baking sheet and I'm glad we did, as it ran over and made a mess on the pan which would have been on the oven, but it baked well and was brown when we took it out and let it cool. The taste is good with chunks of chicken breast, green peas, diced carrots, and a chicken gravy. Hubs and I both thought the crust was too thick on top for the amount of filling, making the ratio of filling to crust off. There were parts where the top crust was 1/2 inch thick. In conclusion, we probably will not buy this again, as I can make one for less money and have more filling.

This Pot Pie is excellent!

This pot pie was excellent. I usually make my own, but we were away and decided to try this, and everyone loved it. Pair it up with cranberry sauce, and you're good to go. The pies are large. Do we have yummy leftovers the next day. Yes, I'd buy it again!

Maybe club location makes a difference since there are a number of 5 star reviews, because this pot pie was bland and flavorless. I don't post reviews often but this made us sick, we threw more than half of it away. I would not purchase this again.

Absolutely perfect!

Absolutely perfect! This chicken pot pie is delicious I can’t say a bad thing about it. The creamy filling has huge chunks of chicken in it so much almost have to cut it with a knife LOL. The vegetables are perfectly cooked. The creamy gravy is delicious. Paired with a beautiful flaky crust it is the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had. Well worth the price and easy to do at home. Put it onto a baking sheet and then bake for an hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees in a regular oven and it’s perfectly done. I brushed mine with a little egg yolk just to have that beautiful color. I also crimped the edges around the outside so the filling didn’t go out as the strips of crust are just laid on top. Just scoop it out by the spoonfuls and enjoy!

pot pie

Flavor is alright. There are more peas than anything and barely any chicken. To make it decent I usually have to purchase a rotisserie chicken, take the top crust off and mix in some of that rotisserie chicken in. And then put the top crust back on and bake. For the price of it I shouldn’t have to do that .
