Max life, min fuel

After trying to convince my wife to get a working all-season from another company, then those tires coming from the warehouse with dry rot TWICE, we settled on the MaxLife. Our '21 Toyota Highlander hybrid (AWD, XLE) had Toyo OEMs that lasted 25,000 miles (300 UTQG) . That meant we weren't going to bother getting another set, and the knee-jerk reaction was to find the absolute longest tread life tire possible. Hello, MaxLife! Anyway, it took between 1,000 and 1,200 miles for these to really break in, but they are 90% as quiet and comfortable as the Toyos - which was the whole point of that OEM tire. There is a low, quiet rumble from them, and a really nasty pothole will get through, but they're a very solid all-season tire as far as comfort and noise, just a hair below the best touring all-season options. My fuel economy was 35-38 MPG from the OEMs and these get me the same MPGs now that I've gotten through the break-in period. (Note that my spouse gets 5-10 MPG less. Driving habits matter!) We can drive confidently in the rain, braking is very good considering we've not had any really close calls to test emergency braking. Just those stomp-on-the-brake-because-people-don't-understand-roundabouts and that-squirrel-made-a-panicked-run-for-it situations. We live in NC so we won't have a lot of snow to deal with. Have yet to try these on the trails we take in the mountains. Overall, while I wanted the fancy touring all-season tires, these make a lot of sense for the family hauler and road trip vehicle.

Didn't last long at all

Since Covid, my driving has greatly decreased. So I expected these tires to last, as I am no stranger to Goodyear's Assurance line of tires. This set, however, only went as far as 51K miles & I'm already being told I should replace them. So, I am hoping to hold out until late fall/start of winter before I buy my next set, however I seriously doubt it will be this line again.

Did I buy mud tires?!

Review Summary pretty much sums it up. These are/were easily the loudest tire I've ever owned. I purchased thinking they would last a long time on my daily commuter vehicle (90 mile/day roundtrip) and they were so loud at 40,000 miles I had to replace them. And, it wasn't just as they got older - the day they were installed I noticed a higher level of road noise. On top of it, I always felt like wet traction was pretty bad - it was not uncommon for hydroplaning and the traction control light to come on in my TDI Passat.

Worst tires I have ever purchased.

This tires have no wet traction. They spin easily getting off the line if road is wet. Even worst if you have to panic brake in the rain they will skid for a while before coming to a stop..they are no better in the dry, car feels like a boat and can't handle turn. I had them over a month and will be replacing them soon. I drive over 100 miles daily, I need a reliable and dependable tires in my car.

Somewhat disappointed

I was expecting a quieter and smoother riding tire than the original Cooper tires. I do not think it is much quieter and am very disappointed in how it tends to pull the vehicle in the direction of grooves in the roadway, this was not an issue with the original tires. I only have a thousand or so miles on these tires, hoping these are only breaking in issues.

Excellent Tire/

I love these tires so much, I put them on my girlfriend's car...drives totally different from the goodyear assurance comfort treads that were on her car. Like you are just floating along. Road noise in minimal. She loves them as well as I do. They were better than what i was looking for. I got more than just the long life that I was looking for. Hamdles great as well.

Quiet durable tires!

These tires are surprisingly quiet and handles well in rain. I haven't been through a winter yet but I'm sure they will perform great with their tread. I drive freeway, city and gravel county roads and haven't had an issue. I'm Very happy with this purchase
