Great price!! we just put it togeter a few days ago. it was a xmas gift for my almost 4 year old son but decied to give it to him early to enjoy it durin the nice fall weather. my husband and i put it together fairly easy..the box was smaller then i thought but was prtty heavy about 150lbs. fits fine in any suv/hatch backs, mayeven fit in smaller cars if your back sits go down or u have nothing and no one in the back seat. we wanted to surprize our son so we did it while he was sleeping but he woke up when we were in the middle of it. he came to the back door n saw us buliding it. he was so excited! he ran n got his boots on to come help n said thanks for my new jungle gym mommy n daddy while he jumped up n down!:) def a great buy!!
Super sturdy
The dome is super sturdy. My two kids and I have been on it together. I love the colors of it. Looks nice in our yard. My kids are three and five and climb all over it. It is tall enough that they will be able to hang from it for years. Fast shipping.
Lifetime Children's Dome Climber
Well designed and we made. It should last a long time. More difficult to put together following the instructions than it should be. Suggest better instructions from the manufacturer. We finally ignored the instructions and followed the picture on the cover of the box. It takes two people to build unless you are blessed with a third hand. It took about 3 hours to put together. We could do it quicker now that we have done it once. Note in the instructions that you put the correct bars in the correct locations. There to different diameter tubes for different locations. Don't let me comments deter you from purchasing this unit if you are not particularly mechanically inclined. It is not that difficult once you follow the picture. We added pressure treated wood blocking under the bars on the ground to keep the bars off the wet ground. This should help keep the bars from rusting and the unit should last much longer.
Thanks for the feedback and the advice. I will forward your suggestions on to our team for review on improving instructions. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 800-225-3865 so we can help.
Dome Climber-Earthtone Color
We bought our Dome Climber in the Spring of 2014. We had purchased a "driveway basketball net" for our granddaughter, and the insert advertised this Dome Climber. I was excited, because I had been wanting to add another piece of equipment to our backyard, because my granddaughter was out growing our swing set! But I hadn't found anything appropriate, until I saw the Dome Climber! I ordered it immediately and I have never regretted it. The Dome Climber has held up well, even with Ohio's crazy weather. Because it has low and high bars, it is great fun for children of all ages. My granddaughter 11 yrs. old, climbs up and sits on the top. My 7 yr. old grandson swings back and forth, climbs all around the bars on the outside, and hangs upside down. My 2-1/2 year old grandson hangs from the bars, when his Daddy helps him. He walks in and out of it, and will soon be climbing like his older cousins. We've clothes pinned sheets over it and turned it into a playhouse a few times. Even my Service Dog, a tall black Labrador, enjoys walking in and out of it, and sometimes lays in the middle to rest. I have never been happier with any other playground equipment we have ever purchased. We bought the "earthtone" because at the time, my grandson was into G.I.Joe & camouflage. He loved the color right away! I am so happy that your basketball hoop for the driveway had a flyer in the box advertising this awesome Dome Climber! It is well-built for children of all ages and it's made very safe! The hand and foot holds strategically placed, help the children climb and also keep the joints covered where the climber is screwed together, bar by bar! It came with easy to follow directions, and all the parts were in the box, even all the hardware. It is the very best piece of backyard playground equipment we have ever purchased. Honestly!! We all love it.
great product
It is very surdy but yet easily moved around the yard by one person. The box shipped quickly and came double packed in cardboard boxes with each individual pole wrapped in plastic to keep from scratching each other. All the parts were well labeled and in good condition. My only concern is it is labeled for 3-10 but with it being such few bars they are spaced quite far apart. It isn't a problem for my 4 year old nephew but is for my 4 year old son. He is working on getting the hang of pulling himself up it but for any kids on the short side it might take them some time to figure it out like my son.
Product and Customer service
Purchsed the Ace Flyer Teeter Totter. When I went to put it together, one of the holes would not accept the bolt. Upon further review I noticed the hole was not properly tapped/machined to receive the bolt. I called customer service and they are sending the replacement part with harware. Their customer service is one of the best I have dealt with. Instructions for putting the playtoy is accurate. Need to read the instucions. Hardare is packaged to be used with certain section you are putting together-makes assembly easy.I am very happy with the product and with customer service.
Cool yard toy for the grandsons!
Delivery was free and quick. Assembly time was about a day, maybe a little more with primarily just one person working. One bolt was a problem and took a long time to get it worked out! The final product looks good, is well made and my grandsons love "flying" it! We really like the primary colors. The manufacturer should include a couple of extra bolts of the ones used the most, but they don't, so make sure you don't lose any or cross thread any......these are not standard hardware that you can buy at your local hardware store!
Great Toy!
I bought the Ace Flyer about a month ago and my son absolutely loves it. Makes for a good imagination piece during our family playtime. It looks well constructed and is adjustable in height so it can grow with him. It was easy to assemble, took about 2 hours. Thank you for a great toy!
Monkey Bars
Looks good in the yard. Both of my boys like it. My oldest is four in two months and the other well he's two and a half. I feel that it should be rated from four years old to 15 years old. My almost four years old can climb on it barely and it took a few times playing on it for him to be able to climb to the top bars without help. My two year old well he's simply way to young but if you know kids then you know he wants to play on it just like his big brother does. So he has to be supervised and held when on it at all times. As for my four year old, I had help him at first since he was way to shaky and falling off. FYI: I don't think my four year old could do this a year ago when he was three. He's an average size kid. For the most part it was fairly easy to put together by myself and only needed my wife hold up the larger sections while I connected them together. FYI: Make six green stars at the beginning, the sixth one will be for the very top. If you have your own Allen Wrench that fits better then the one provided then use it, trust me. The bolts head that takes the Allen Wrench will strip easily so make sure to put a lot of down pressure on the Allen Wrench if using the one provided. FYI: I tried to move it around a little just to test it out for when I need to cut the grass. Well it is flimsy when picking it up from the outside on one side and seemed to want to bend and break on itself so I put it down rite away. I would suggest going under it and moving it by lifting it up from the inside center and sliding it across the ground or if you have another strong adult you could even carry it since it's not that heavy. It really should have come with anchors since it can be moved/pick up way to easily by an older kid lifting it from the outside and damaging it beyond repair or while another kid is playing on it on the other side. Just my observation that it didn't take much to lift it from the outside or inside for that matter. Make sure to place above soft ground in case the kid falls. Pro: Price is best here, sturdy "even I can climb on it at 175lbs, easy to put together. Con: Bolts heads to soft "need to be harder so they don't strip out when tightening". No anchors, flimsy when moving, not for a three year old unless you have very tall kids. Hope this helps out. Good luck and please watch your kids while playing on this as the can get hurt very badly in a second.
Sturdy alternative to cheap swingsets.. We hope.
Our kids are 10, 7, and 3 and after being frustrated by poor quality on a supposed top brand expensive wooden playset, we saw the good reviews on this and decided to try it. Their favorite part of the previous set had been the monkey bars. Assembly took 2 men 2 1/2 hours. The instructions were a big help. The kids are thrilled with it. The youngest hasn't quite figured out how to climb to the top, which is just fine, but that will happen soon enough. My 150 lb self can climb it, it seems very sturdy.
