Better than expected. Who ever picked this loaf of bread out picked a fresh one and who ever packed and brought here did well. Bread was not smooshed, still like it was on shelf at the store

Evangeline Maid is the only brand I buy when it comes to bread. Yes, this is where I become a brand snob. I usually buy 2-3 loaves and freeze 2. They freeze very well and defrost nice, actually, when defrosted because of the ice crystals the bread is actually fresher and retains it moisture.

The absolute best bread known to man kind. If you think you know bread, you’re wrong until you have eaten Evangeline Maid bread. It’s heaven in a bag. It’s happiness in your mouth. I was a bread eater as a kid. Thanks for sustaining life

Our Favorite Brand, however; for Only 20oz it is way Overpriced compared to other 20oz breads sold.

Evangeline maid bread used to be the staple in Acadiana. But since the original owner sold, this bread is no longer consistent like it used to be. It doesn’t. stay fresh like it used to and the top is very dark where it used to be a light brown color now you have to look to find one that’s not dark and then you have to look at all of the dates because now they say it’s good for up to three weeks which it’s not.

I’ve been using this brand since I was a teenager. I’m retired now. Not only has the size of the bread slices shrunk but instead of being soft white sandwich bread now it’s like still cardboard tasting something. It’s all about profit not about customer satisfaction. I’ll no longer be fine Evangeline bread anymore. This was Cajun staple no longer.

I ordered the bread today- October 11th- and it’s already stale. The best by date is October 27th. Evangeline Maid used to be the only bread I would buy but the last few times it has been stale. So sad to say goodbye to a family favorite. Groceries cost too much to spend good money on inferior products.
