Special order tires came in on time, but the mechanics at Sam’s would not install the tires because they said a brake line was hanging down. They told me it was a simple fix, just a zip-tie, but they were not allowed to do it. I took it over to a local Midas and they said it wasn’t a break line, but an ABS line that shouldn’t have prevented them from putting on new tires. I have to find time to schedule again a week later. I get the tires replaced, drive to the airport and thought I was going to lose control of the car at any speed above 55mph. I drove the car back and was told I had to schedule another appointment to get the balance checked (on brand new tires that should have been done at the time of installation). I take it back a couple of days later and I am told that the tires were out of balance, and that I was the second person who had tires installed that day to bring their car back because of unbalanced tires. You have one job…okay, three jobs - install tires, rotate tires, and balance tires. You failed badly at the last one. And to make it worse, one of the other techs asked the first tech who did the installation, they said it was John or Johnny, the Team Lead. I definitely wasn’t dealing with the best of the best. The tires are good, though.
