The printer works ell. My only complaint is that the paper tray flimsy and has a cheep feel. My old 8710 had a much better tray.

This is a great "second" printer if you ever need color printouts. It is excellent color and density and fairly fast. It is not a great option for excessive printing. How can you go wrong with HP???

He printer was very easy to setup. The software that controls the printer offers several functions. I signed up for the ink replacement service. It is great!

Works very well and has all the features I wanted. I like that the paper is in a tray and not exposed, because it stops dust from entering the printer. I also love the Instant Ink service.

The absolute worst ever! Sams club stood by me and made this right but this is THE WORST pri ter! Made cheaply with thin plastic. Can only feed 2 pages into the ADF at a time. First printer had bad ink carriage and was replaced. Second printer at first would not scan from feeder then copying one page would spit out 8 blank pages till you had a paper jam to clear. Can't do a single task without fixing something after a max of 2 pages. Not acceptable for a home office. I was unsuccessful in printing an 8 page document after 45 minutes, then couldn't print the shipping return label. I've had HP's for years, last one just died after 8 years. This is not that quality and highly disappointing. I love the instant ink subscription if I could find a functional HP product.

I have had this printer for about 5 months. DO not like it at all. It is nothing like the HP 8600 I had. You can not scan fromt the printer to your computer. HP locks up your printer on you, then says you need to put in new ink when you did. HP monitors if you have a knock off ink in your printer and shuts it down. Printer does not print on both sides of the paper you have to flip the paper and reload the printer. VERY CHEAP

The control panel says the paper tray is not installed even though it is. It will not release the paper tray to pull it out to check. In order to get the paper tray to release, had to turn the power off and then back on. It then allowed me to remove the paper tray, be sure it had paper in it and re-install. Then it had problems using just one sheet of paper. Pulled two or three sheets of paper at a time when it should have pulled just one. It is again telling me that the paper tray is not installed, and it will not allow me to pull it out. When I tried to sign up for the continuous supply of ink, I selected the 50 pages option, but then the system would not accept my credit card even though I submitted it repeatedly several times. Gave up and went on with other things. On a positive note, 123.hp.com got the new printer hooked up with my router even though it gave it the wrong name 8020 instead of 8028e. Unless things improve soon, I am going to return the item.

It's slow, and the HP smart ink program is a joke. The ink supplied with it is useless if you don't pay for the plan. I will definitely not purchase an hp again. It takes forever to print if you use the color ink. I thought it was never going to print it just kept making noises like it was getting ready to print, 5 minutes later, it printed my 1 sheet.

I try my very best to have an open mind and not leave negative reviews but sorry HP. The price seemed decent at the time. However, the printer is already displaying ink low and is making a squeaking sound. Purchased (Feb-17-2024). Honestly, wasn't into the ink refill option either. Went against my gut feeling on this purchase.

Works well. Good print quality. Recommend.
