Best Workbench Ever
After I bought this & assembled it (time consuming) but well worth it. I have owned this for about 5 years & it is by far the best Workbench/Toolbox I have ever owned. You simply can not buy something of this quality for the price. I have had 3 friends look at mine, they all went & bought one. I highly recommend this for home use or any mechanic to use in there shop. I have bought several more for gifts & all very happy.
Rolling toolbox
I like this toolbox, Its large and heavyduty and went together well without any problems. It has 12 drawers without having to stack 2 or 3 boxes on top of each other. I also find the hard solid wooden top a great idea, its uncommon to find this kind of top together with a steal toolbox. Its also a very nice looking toolbox and can be used as a kitchen island for a comercial business or even residential. "It realy does look nice"! And the price makes it one of the best deals that I have seen anywhere. I dont have a problem with the drawers not locking but it might make it even nicer if they did, but with a little engineering I think any mechanicly inclined individual could make that happen without too much trouble."Yes I would recommend this to a friend but I know that if a friend seen it that they would be asking me about it. I had it delivered and that cost extra but I figure it was worth it to me. But what a savings! The delivery people were nice and called before they came. Its heavy and they put it where I asked them too.It does take some time to put it together but thats what its all about anyways tools and production. I hope this helps you out. I give it a 5 star for an all around deal and that includes the low price for this kind of rolling toolbox.
Very well made
I bought this for my husband for Christmas for his wood shop & he is very impressed with it. He stated it is very well made. He was very pleased how well the drawers fit in it. It comes in two large boxes & they are very heavy. So needed help to get them in the shop. He put it together by himself but once it was together he needed help to turn it up right it. He did not want it on wheels so he built a solid wood base to put it on & of course needed help to get it on the base. Our Nephew has had his for 3 or 4 years & he is also very happy with the one he has.
It would be great item for my work shop.
Yes it would be a great item for my work shop, but Sam's cancel the order for no reason, got the tracking number and it never worked, next got a email state that my account would be credit back with no reason. the only thing that I could think is they sold it too cheap, since I won on there auction site.
Awesome workbench/kitchen cabinet
Great quality, smooth drawers, very solid top; we use this unit in a motorhome kitchen, adding golf clubs as "locks" with 3/4" EMT brackets to hold the drawers shut and it has held up perfectly through some serious use, even surviving Burning Man without a scratch! The only thing in the rig that stayed pretty well sealed against playa dust- now that's impressive! Makes a fabulous kitchen cabinet/countertop at home, too. The whole Seville line is highly recommended- keep that line in stock please, Sam's Club, it's a winner!
Great for the DIY home handyman
Assembly is time-consuming but uncomplicated. One person can put it together in several hours, maybe a little longer if you're pokey like me. The shallow drawers are great for organizing all your go-to hand tools like pliers, screwdrivers and wrenches, while the deeper drawers and cabinet shelves are spacious enough to hold a number of larger tools like circular saws or grinders. The drawers open smoothly, extend fully, and softly lock in place when closed. The cabinet door has a simple rotating tab lock on it, which is useful to keep the power tools away from curious kids. The casters and side rails make it easy to maneuver the bench wherever you need it. Plastic bumpers on the bottom corners prevent them from gouging your walls. The thick wood top is very rich-looking, but the finish is non-protective, so it'll develop "character" pretty quickly if left as is. I made an el-cheapo protector by cutting a plastic chair mat for hard floors (smooth on both sides, also from Sam's Club) in half, and laying one of the halves on top of the workbench. Now when my screwdriver slips, or I drop my soldering iron, it won't damage the wood. The only obvious design flaw for me is that the dimensions of the wood top are flush with the edges of the cabinet. That means you can't clamp anything onto the top -- a vise, for instance -- which would have been a helpful feature. And negative karma to Sam's Club's outsourced delivery service. Delivery took 2+ weeks, and the unit arrived with one of the thick metal corner posts badly crimped out of square. I didn't see it right away because the delivery crew had laid the 370-lb. box damage-down. (I'm not claiming they did that on purpose.) It wasn't until I had partially assembled the unit and worked my way down through layers of parts, that I discovered the crimped corner. Rather than going through the hassle of disassembling the bench and repacking and returning it, I just pounded and pried the metal back into kind-of-square with a hammer and crow bar. It was unsuitable for assembly as it was, and I figured nothing I did would make it more unsuitable. My crude metal shaping allowed me to assemble the frame. As a mocking reminder, two fastening screws wouldn't fit, so I had to leave them off. An ugly win, but a win. And my irritation faded once I completed the assembly and loaded the bench up with tools. Now I'm ready to eagerly tackle the fix-it projects on my list.
Can't beat this!
You should know what you're getting before purchasing. I read a review about how the drawers on the right are too shallow. Smh. That is very clear from the picture and description! If that isn't enough, get something else. I think that there is plenty of room. I have almost all of the drawers filled up. Plenty of room for wrenches and other hand tools along with miscellaneous items. This workbench is very well built and the instructions are clear and concise. Takes a good amount of time for one person to assemble, but it's worth it. It's quite heavy so get someone to help when it's time to flip over (assembly starts upside down). Looks great and is the best value that I could find. Highly recommended.
My search stopped here
This work bench went together like a dream, every part lined up correctly. All hardware was correct in quantity and spares were marked as such. Quality and great design thoughout. Love the positive stop on the drawers that prevent opening while rolling it across the floor. All this and it looks good too. Buy one and you will not be sorry.
The best planned, packaged, engineered product seen
I was worried when I opened the carton and saw all those pieces. It went together with ease following the instructions. Not a single piece left over or missing. They provide one each extra screw, washer, etc. didn't need them. Once together this is a very sturdy workbench and meets my needs perfectly. They even provide every tool needed. If you need a work bench with drawers look no further.
Great value.
Needed to organize my garage and this fits the bill. It is well built and looks great. Allow 3 or 4 hours to assemble (lots of screws). This even comes with non skid drawer liners. Didn't use the roller wheels but instead set it on 2x12 wood on each end (cut 2 or 3 - 2x12 and screw together for 4" width) to allow for tool boxes to be stored underneath. Highly recommend this work bench!!
