the product doesn't have a GPS, so only gives its position when it's near an iPhone, I bought it as a security device for my dog.

These are a quality name brand item. Got a great price. They shipped quickly and were well packaged.

No Near Field ability. Only registers as Item with user with the Apple Id registered. Otherwise, great locator device.
