Michelin LTX MS2

I had my first set of LTX MS2's on my Tahoe and they were GAEAT. I then installed them on my work van and the crew said the ride was far better with the Michelin Tires. I purchased a 2010 GMC Sierra to tow my travel trailer and for driving on dirt/gravel camp roads. The tires grip well on all tetanus and weather. The ride is smooth and they can handle a load very well. The tires have a great warranty that Michelin stands behind with no hassles. I am sold on theses tires and that's why I purchased them for all four of my vechiles.

Mixed review

35 months and 49000 miles on a 70,000 mile warranty The tires need changing. I live on a dirt road in Wyoming. Most of the miles are highway with only a few thousand miles for towing. The tires are noisy. I'm mostly concerned about braking. Will probably try another pair of LTX M/S2. Not ready to try another brand yet.

Almost perfect

I replaced the original Michelin LTX M/S tires (66,000 miles) with these M/S 2 tires. I was very happy with the originals. I towed our trailer for over 15,000 miles, and still had some tread after 66,000 miles, so I stuck with the improved version. I also added 1" of tread width, and 1" of diameter (replaced 245 65 R17 with 265 65 R17). These tires are quieter and smoother than the originals, and may be some mileage improvement... They are supposed to have improved wet and snow traction, but I haven't been in such weather yet.

10 Ply

If you are looking for a workhorse of a tire look no further than Michelin 10-ply. 3 hour ride to work, 12 hours on mountains of Southwest Virginia in coal fields and then another 3 hours home. I have a 2006 Ford F150 with 500,000+ miles on it and I won't use any other tire. I also have a 1998 GMC 2500 and 2005 Ford F150, they all have these Michelin 10 ply. Heavy snow, pouring rain, bumpy rock roads and slick dirt roads do not slow these tires down.... I bought a complete set on August 22th - and another complete set on Sept 20th - I'm just a little aggrevated that I missed the rebate by 3 days on my first order. You would think that the salesman would have suggested for me to wait a couple of days because there was going to be a rebate offer ESPECIALLY since I told him I was going to ordering another complete set but that has nothing to do with these awesome tires..

Not worth the money

The tires do not do well in the gas mileages category I lost about 2.5 mpg on average. I must say I found them to be excellent in the snow, over all for the money I can't say I would recommend them for year around use. Mileage ware clams are yet to be determined as they have only about 5k on the set

The best light truck tire on the road

I having been riding on Michelin tires for over twenty years, and every set has exceeded its mileage rating. They are long lasting, smooth riding and handling tires. I live in a rural area with curvy paved and gravel roads. They are great in all weather. I also keep Michelin tires on my wife and son cars, knowing they are truly the best tires on the road.

outstanding tire

I have been using Michelin Tires since 1965 and have had very little problems with them. I did have a tire weight thrown into one of my new tires and it did ruin the tire. A very unusual happening. I did have low mileage on one set of tires due to wrong tire pressure(my fault). I probably have over a million miles on Michelin tires and have 3 vehicles with Michelin tires on them at this writing. Thank You Michelin for continuing to make true quality tires

Who says Lt tires ride hard?

I needed a tire that would cover a wide range purposes. This tire had to be able to carry heavy loads and tow a travel trailer. It also had to ride smooth and quiet, on a luxury SUV. Not only did these tires far exceed these requirements, they are wearing like steel and look like they will last twice as long as the OEM tires that came on my SUV when new. Over the course of many years I've had just about every SUV tire on the market and I can honestly say, these are by far the best tires I have ever owned and driven on.

First time buyer, lifelong customer.

I had purchased the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires, after trying other name brand tires for several years. I use my vehicle for my job and I am constantly traveling. With other tires, I would have to get new tires every six months. With Michelin tires, I have had them less than six months and I see less tread wear. Recently, I had screw in my tire and took it to a service station that fixes flats. The employee at the station who repaired the tire told me he had work there for over 23 years and said of all the tires out there, Michelin are the best. While they may be a little more expensive than other brand tires, I feel the price is an investment in the quality of the tires and well worth not having to buy new tires every six months. I had never bought Michelin tires before, and now that's all that will ever be on my truck!

I would highly recommend this tire

Due to some disappointments with another brand of tires some years ago I decided to give Michelin a try. We have been so satisfied with their performance, ride and durability that we now buy nothing but Michelins for all of our cars and trucks. Most recently I purchased 4 265x16 load range E M/S 2's for our 3/4 ton GMC. I now have about 10,000 miles on them. This includes highway, around town and towing our 7,000lb. boat. The handling is superb (no drift), the tires are very quiet and seem to be wearing very well. I would highly recommend the Michelin brand to anyone looking for a very high quality tire.
