My kids love this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned this about 5 years. This is still standing strong and sturdy. For several years my kids hung a swing from the top, and they found that real fun. The only issue is that it's heavy when I drag it so I can mow under it. Wait is being solid and heavy a bad thing?

Prop 65 warning

I bought this last year without educating myself on it so I’m hoping I can save others from making the same mistake. This and all of lifetimes other playground toys have a prop 65 warning, for those of you that may not know That means that the equipment is made with materials that have been proven to cause cancer and birth defects! I honestly cannot believe that a company would make children’s toys with harmful materials! I have shopped tons of other well known toy brands and none of them I have found do this. I can almost garuntee that no parent wants to expose their children to harmful cancer causing chemicals, so please don’t let lifetime do it either. Choose a company that has your children’s best interest in mind not one that is making millions of dollars from harmful equipment

California passed the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 which is more commonly known as Propsition 65 or “Prop 65.” Under Proposition 65, the Governor of California published a list of chemicals that are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. The Prop 65 list currently contains over 800 chemicals and includes both naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals. Currently, the list of chemicals includes chemicals like carbon monoxide and wood dust. Prop 65 requires any entity doing business in California to provide consumers a “reasonable warning” against risk of any exposure to the listed chemicals even if a chemical occurs only in trace amounts. Prop 65 does not require the elimination or reduction of any of the listed chemicals. Lifetime’s playground equipment generally includes components made of steel and steel by its nature contains the naturally occurring element nickel. While the level of nickel may differ depending on the type of steel used (nickel plated and stainless steel contain higher levels) even regular steel usually contains some amount of nickel. While Lifetime does not believe that the amount of nickel in the steel used in its playground systems is dangerous, California law requires that Lifetime put a Prop 65 warning label on its products even if nickel exists in trace amounts. This warning is becoming more prevalent in all types of products. One example is Disneyland Resorts posts Prop 65 warnings on its parks and hotels in California. Lifetime makes product safety, especially for children’s products, its utmost priority. Lifetime would not knowingly expose any consumer to any product that it believes is unreasonably dangerous or that could unreasonably cause harm to anyone, especially children. It simply has to comply with California law which requires it to place a warning on its products however safe we believe they may be.

Great product w/ a few minor inconsistencies

I primarily purchased this for my 3-year-old, but my older son who just turned 11 has been on it, while my 3-year-old has shown no interest. I am not sure why as he LOVES to climb and swing from every object possible? After assembling the dome climber, I realized it is a pretty good size. It will probably be a while before he can actually climb onto the first bar off the ground. We have had it assembled for less than a week, so I am hoping he will warm up soon. We even put his kiddie pool in the middle underneath today to coax him into exploration. We had zero success with that manipulative move. It is still a GREAT product and whether or not he uses it now, we are pretty certain he will come to love it and play on it for many years to come. The structure is pretty sturdy after assembly and easy to move with a nice added feature of joint bolt covers that double as a climbing fob. There were some technical inconsistencies with this product: instructions, maximum weight, and recommended ages. INSTRUCTIONS: 3 on a scale of 1-10. It is almost easier to figure it out than try to view the illustrations. The gray-scale coloring is inverted on the instructions with the hunter green bars in light shades and the light brown (beige) bars illustrated in the darker shades. This made it confusing when putting the bars together. There were also a few places that were not clear. The instructions do not mention from Step 1 that you will be screwing and unscrewing the nuts SEVERAL times in the main sections. Wal-Mart listing: maximum weight = 600 Product maximum weight listed= 400 (200 pounds off - BIG difference) Wal-Mart recommended ages listed = (3-10) Product box recommended ages = (4-11)

SO MUCH FUN FOR SO MANY!!

We have had this since it was first introduced. Our grandchildren hovered around while it was being put together, and immediately jumped aboard when it was finished. There are enough seats and actions to provide enjoyment for a group of kids. It has provided thousands of hours of flying time for the 10 grandchildren and now 3 great-grandchildren. The thing is so durable, and has only needed a washing periodically. It still sit in the kids play yard now waiting for the next little ones to visit. (I expect it to be out there when I am gone.) This was the best investment for the children and us.

Great features!

Purchased a month ago, had to wait for delivery and it came sooner then expected. My husband and grandchildren put it together (imagine them sitting in the large boxes, playing with the steering wheel, control panel and propeller while all the construction went on). It was a 4 hour fun project to do with the grandchildren. Directions are easy to read and understand and the grandchildren love playing on it. SO very GLAD we purchased it!!!!!

Wish I could include a photo.................

Love my Ace Flyer Teeter Totter. My daycare kids have so much fun on it. The best thing about it is it holds 7 kids and my kids range from ages 10 to 2 and they can all enjoy it. Holds up to 600 pounds. Took my husband a bit of time to put it together but it was well worth it. Very well constructed and we expect it's going to last us for years and I will be able to pass it down once I'm done. I would definitely recommend this product. PS.......even some of my parents have 'tested' it out............

So Much Fun!!

We gave this to our daughter for her 3rd birthday and she loves it!! She has a blast "flying" to the library or the grocery store. If she has friends over they'll all fly together or teeter totter on the wings. She had gotten a small teeter totter when she was about 18 months old but didn't use it much because a lot of the time she was by herself, so my husband or I would push on the other end which just wasn't as much fun for her. It's so great that this is designed to be more than just a teeter totter. I don't remember the weight limits but both myself and my husband have sat (at separate times) in the plane with her to "fly" somewhere and it felt very sturdy. Whenever her friends come over this is always a hit!! I also really like that there are three height levels so as she gets taller we can raise the plane up. The box was rough looking when it was delivered but it's double packaged so all the pieces were there. I was very impressed with how it is prepared for assembly. The hardware for each section is bagged separately and the instructions are very easy to follow. The only thing that gave us a hard time was one or two holes that didn't line up perfectly, so it took a little wiggling and pushing to get the bolt in.

Decent climber that's not easy to put together, just pray you never have to take it apart to move it!

We bought this 5 years ago. It was kind of a pain to assemble, but lots of big stuff is so no big deal. It seemed it kind of bent easily whenever we moved it around to mow under it but sturdy when the kids were on it. After 5 years it's already rusty on the parts that touch the ground, and some other places. The bigger issue? As we tried to take it apart to move it to our new house, all the allen head screws stripped. No way to get them out. Already tried all the hacks, got a screw extractor set that won't work because they're Allen head screws rather than regular ones. The bars are now bent and cracking where we got a few pieces taken apart from the pressure of not being supported. The whole thing is now trash. Really expensive toy for only 5 years of use. And we have 5 young kids all upset that we have to throw it away.

We're sorry to hear that your dome climber is rusting. This shouldn't be happening, especially since the the steel used to build our playsets are made with a weather resistant powder-coated finish that protects from cracking, warping, rot or splinters. It is made to be rust-resistant. However, we recommend using a rust treatment for extra protection a couple times a year, especially if you live in a high humidity climate. Fun for many ages

We have had our teeter totter for quite a few years now. It has been used in so many creative ways. Pretend traveling games, shooting wars, obstacle courses, etc. It can fit a lot of kids at the same time, and has been played with by adults as well. I love anything that encourages my kids to play outside and use their imaginations.

Many activities in one product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the Lifetime swing set(2) and the domed climer so I was looking for another outdoor play activity. This product offered many different activity’s in one product and holds seven kids at one time. Very sturdy.
