Easily the WORST example of a hot dog bun I have ever purchased. Of 16 Hot Dog buns, 3 were completely sliced through, so they were more like long hamburger buns. 2 were scored about 1/4" deep and had to be torn to open up further, 3 were partially cut about half of the bun was sliced properly while the other half had to be torn open. The remaining 8 were functional, a few had slices that weren't centered on the bun, but they were at least sliced properly. The bread itself was fluffy and adequately moist, but I wasn't buying bread loaves, I was buying hot dog buns. The local supermarket sells their house brand buns at better pricing, and has never disappointed me like these did. These buns have been superior in the three years I’ve been selling hotdogs from my cart. However, and unfortunately, the past four months these buns have been absolutely worthless. I’ve done nothing but return the majority of the ones I’ve purchased. They’re either dried out, not sliced enough, or sliced almost all the way through, they are inconsistently sized, and the bottom half are smashed. I have high standards for my customers. I never had to worry about this. I did get in touch with Sara Lee and in about three months, according to them, they are going to send me some vouchers or coupons or something like that. I don’t really need a coupon. I need them to either fire the quality assurance staff, %26 their driver or retrain them. When this manufacturer has all its ducks in a row, these buns are untouchable, even by Wonder bread. Until they get back on track, I’ll have to go with the other manufacturer that’s offered.

Love the larger quantity for my large family. Great for a cookout too.
