Although it took me a long time to find this product available online. Once I got it, it was just the perfect mount for what I needed on my Lifetime kayak. Would recommend this product to anyone

This motor mount is made of 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. It is TIG welded by certified welders in the USA. It is powder coated after welding and cleaning in an alkaline wash. It attaches with a very sturdy aluminum pin that passes through a mounting hole molded in the kayak hull. Two straps with quick release brass buckles prevent the motor mount from twisting. One side of the mount supports the motor and the other provides a place to secure the battery, a strong fabric battery bag with straps and a carry handle is included. This motor mount was specifically designed for the Manta/Sport Fisher kayak.

the unit works as described only chnage would be to some how lock from under neath and the ability to put the battery in the middle of the boat ot balance out

Battery case should be better for the cost.

This mount is expensive. It easy to put in place. It is sturdy. If you are going to use this you must purchase an auxiliary ratchet to keep the battery in place because the strap that comes with it is insufficient. The mount will change the weight distribution of your sport fisher or manta kayak. I flipped (in calm water) from standing up the the first time I used this mount and only saved my trolling motor and battery because it was ratcheted down. I'm going to explore options not to keep battery in the very back of the kayak attached to this mount

Off balance design and only fits a couple of corny designs. Lifetime needs to step up their game with accessories for other models. Especially their fishing kayak line up. I like my Tamarack Pro but having no factory upgrade options probably puts me in a competitors boat next season. Some great upgradable yaks coming into the same price point area.
