I don't know if this was a batch that sat too long, because I did have to pull what seemed to be a gelatinous liquid, apart from the meat. The meat had a flavor of beef, but not the usual beef flavor which is hard to explain. Unfortunately, I was not pleased with the flavor.

Really great picture on package. Medium rare slices, yummy looking. Inside is gray meat that's a long, long way from anything resembling medium rare or even medium-well cooked beef. A lump of beef in a plastic bag that requires 30 minutes @ 375 to reheat. Add in heating time and you get well-done meat. Taste is OK at best. Just another reason to avoid pre-packaged foods, especially at almost $12 per pound!

i purchased this thinking hoping it might be okay only to find that it was the toughest piece of meat I have ever bought.. I gave the left over to my daughter and she said that they could not even chew it.. Gave it a second chance (as I felt i could have picked up a bad one) and found the next package to be the same as the first...

I don't normally buy beef this way, but I remembered, years ago, Sam's used to have a similar Morton's product that was delicious, even though it was not USDA choice, only select. The "grass-fed" and "free range" on this label, along with the price, made me think that, maybe, even though I didn't see a grade listed, it might be decent. I was hoping merely that it would be as good as that Morton's, which I'd actually been looking for for some time. The ingredients are simple: sirloin, water, seasoning, and salt. The "seasoning" consists of just spices and salt, so it sounds like something that you'd make at home, something clean. Well, the product is not medium rare like the picture, but at least it wasn't well done. I could put up with that by closing my eyes while eating, or by using it as an ingredient in a casserole, where the fact that it doesn't resemble beef wouldn't hurt. But the flavor was awful. I have never tasted sirloin that bad, anywhere. Your dogs would like it, though, or, if you want to feed raccoons outside, you could save it for them.

I planned to serve Prime Rib for Christmas but I was concerned about preparing it correctly, so when I saw this in the store, I decided to purchase this as a back up. It was a big hit! I thought the seasoning was perfect and it was cooked to what I would consider medium rare - slightly pink to red in the middle of the slices. I really don't think it needs any cooking other than just letting it come to room temperature, or putting it in the oven for 5-10 minutes on a low temp to take the chill off. I hope Sams continues offering this and wouldn't hesitate to serve it again. If I had known how good it was, I would probably have just purchased more of this and not done the Prime Rib (would have been way cheaper). For those who are concerned about overcooking it, I would suggest serving it at room temperature and preparing some au jus to pour over it to warm it at serving time.

Delicious flavor though a tad on the spicy side. Great for sandwiches. Slices are very tiny. Not at all what the picture leads you to expect.

Perfectly seasoned and tender and delicious! My family gobbled this up. We've had it plain, on salad and in sandwiches and it wins every time.

The meat had good flavor but the heating instructions didn’t hear it properly all the way through so it was cold in the middle

Easy and quick to cook. Took 10 minutes in oven to heat up and tastes very good. I'll buy again if they keep it in stock! Definitely.

Just bought this two days ago. The meat bears no resemblance to the picture on box. Sliced in small, tough bits. Expensive and inedible! Big Disappointment!
