This is the second unit I have purchased. Though the core of the unit is not solid oak the veneer is and the whole unit looks and feels more expensive than it is. The backing board is solid oak veneer and it is screwed onto the back (not nailed), making for a very sturdy bookcase.

This bookshelf has an attractive finish and looks great. In addition, its weight per shelf capacity makes it ideal for holding books and folders without creating a bowing effect in the shelf. DIYers will be glad to know that it is very easy to put together.

A very nice bookcase, easy to assemble. Arrived in perfect condition, no damage on any components. Instructions were easy to follow. Would definitely purchase this bookcase again.

Over many years I have purchased many bookcases and this one is far supperior to any others. I is better built, much stronger, and goes together in a way that assures me that it will be around a long time and not fall apart or have shelves sag within a short span of time

Just what we were looking for. All of the pieces were there & was easy to put together. They are not wood, one of the better pressed board items I’ve had. Great for the school room.

This is a more manageable model of the seven shelf, 32" wide bookcase. The construction is identical and acceptable at the $200 to $300 range. It is not fine furniture and not solid wood, but it is acceptable in a traditional setting. It is good, but not excellent. I believe it will hold up a full bookcase of real books without the shelves bowing, but only time will tell.

for the most part I'm pleased with the item I bought, I had hoped it was a little bigger. There were scratches and dings on the shelves, was disappointed with that considering I bought three of these.

Should have come with direction for assembly or at least identification of each piece!

This isn't a great quality shelf, but its an excellent value. The material are wood and particle board with wood laminates so the finish looks natural wood. The finish quality isn't high quality but is acceptable. The box it comes in is very heavy; its definitely a two person carry. Assembly took me two hours plus the time to mount the tip-over bracket to the wall and cabinet.

A lot cheaper than I expected. Backing is cardboard held together by tape. Instructions were not great. Wound up taking things apart a couple of times when I had put them together incorrectly - also causing a few unwanted holes in the top shelf. I would not buy again.
