Salt often sits in the top resulting on excess amounts coming out. The threaded bar that holds the top on has also sheared off and Joseph Joseph don’t have spare or sell individually so if I wanted to replace I would have to buy a pair again. I will not be buying again.

Really reduces the amount of mess left on the table. Looks stylish. Feels good quality. Grinds well and easy to adjust grind size. However, the lighter grinder has already been tomato splashed and due to the rubberised finish it’s stained. These things are supposed to be used though…

These were a gift as I already have some. They are the best grinders I’ve ever bought. More expensive than I’d usually go for but honestly worth every penny. It’s great that you can choose the coarseness of grind and they are super easy to refill and clean.

After many buys of plastic and wood mills and them never lasting or forever clogging up I think these may be the solution..only two weeks in but perfect grinding so far..easy to refill and feel nice in the hand.ceramic grinder mechanism is the way forward :+1:

I thought I would love these but I don’t. I like them sure enough. They feel a little overpriced in my opinion. The solution for not leaving salt and pepper all over the table is a brilliant design concept. I have put salt in the dark green and that was probably a mistake as there is salt dust just under the rim which looks unsightly. You probably wouldn’t notice it in the paler mill. When rotating the dial for coarser grains the top becomes wobbly and in all honesty I can’t see the difference between fine and course. That said, they look good on the table. Would I buy again? The jury is out!

The pepper pot does not grind black pepper corns very well, and you don’t seem to be able to adjust the coarseness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely brilliant! Fed up of buying salt and pepper mills than ultimately just don’t work! Finally a great idea that gives you the look and shape of a traditional mill but way way better! Best of all no more mess either. The salt and pepper mills have a great feel to them, and very easy to grip and use. Highly recommended and another excellent quality product from J&J.

Poor grinding mechanism. From large to small grains there is minimal to no difference. Both pepper and salt grains are too fine at maximum setting. When turned to largest grain symbol the grinding knob becomes floppy. It can fall out as there is no stop as you screw the mechanism to the largest grain size.

Beautiful design. They look really great and are much better than my previous set. The fact nothing is left on the side after the mills are used keeps work surfaces and table tops clean. Being able to adjust the coarseness is also a good feature. Very happy with my purchase.

We use the salt and pepper mills every day. We find them to a very tactile fell and very easy to use and refill. I find that there is a lot of salt comes out when you grind it, but this is maybe because of the setting or the salt I have in the mill. The pepper I have no trouble with it works very well. I would certainly buy again..
