Just tried out my new Shark Rocket. It is so difficult to push on carpet. I tried the bare floor setting and it was just as bad. Also, the motor being right there in the handle makes hot air blow right in the middle of your body. Now I have to repack it into its box and drive it 50 miles back to Sams Club. Soooo bummed that it isn't acceptable.

This is a secondary vacuum that I use for smaller jobs and I absolutely love it! t is perfect for my need of a vacuum that can be used for hardwood and area rugs. Does a great job of picking up food crumbs, pet hair and the small little things that my Yorkie drag in from the yard.

I have the original Shark Rocket & it's always been a good reliable vacuum over the past few years...But since this new Rocket model was on sale for a extra good price,I got 1.The ONLY tiny drawback is that the new 1 doesn't propel itself forward when you set it for cleaning carpet like the original does BUT it's so lightweight that it's not a big deal.The new model has significantly brighter LED headlights,maneuvers EXTREMELY smoothly around corners nearly effortlessly,holds more dirt,& it even looks more snazzy.The self-cleaning brush roll is a nice addition.It's also small & easy to store upright without it falling over.It has about as much suction as the original too so it gets the job done.This is perfect for anyone that's tired of having to wrangle the big full size vacuum cleaners because it's able to keep a entire house clean but it's lightweight enough even to be carried up steps without having to practically be a bodybuilder.It's also great for cleaning the corners of ceilings,couches,etc.I'm probably going to try using it with a extension cord to even vacuum the car eventually,it's just so useful.And last but not least...You don't have to go broke to get a good vacuum cleaner since it's warehouse club priced!(^_-)

I have owned several Shark Vacuums and had not problems, until I bought this piece of junk. The brush head motor went out after about 7 months of light use. I called Shark customer service, because it has a 5 year warranty. Not on this part. About all the warranty covers is the vacuum motor. This is my last Shark.

I bought this from my local Sam's Club a few months ago, and it is AMAZING! I have 3 Persian cats whose long hair and cat litter (from their paws) is alllllll over my house. This lightweight little device has powerful suction and is so easy to manuever. It works so much better than my heavier vaccuum and my Roomba. Best part of all is that it's so easy to clean - and no parts to unwrap long hair from. Best money I have spent in years!

I purchased this as I have 2 daughters and my wife living in our house and cleaning the hair off the brush roller on the vacuum is no fun. I was excited when I saw this claim for no hair wrap zero M technology. Well it is simply great marketing and extremely poor design. The manual says to keep using the vacuum and the hair will clear, I vacuumed three rooms and a hallway and the hair is still wrapped on the brush roller, it is also preventing the brush roller from effectively cleaning the carpet. I went back over the area with my old vacuum and was so surprised at how much dirt was left behind by this Shark vacuum. Don't buy!

Light and works well

I wanted to wait a few months before writing to see if I still liked the vacuum. Happy to report that I do! It is by far my favorite vacuum and I have several. Pros: The self-cleaning brush roll really works - look at the pictures - I have never done anything to this roller - few nicks from all the rocks that I have vacuumed up but no dog hair - I have to clean my roomba brush all the time! The vacuum has excellent suction power - I mean it really cleans and I live on a ranch which means my house is always dusty and the guys track mud in all the time. The filters are washable - do yourself a favor and get an extra set or two so you can just switch them out. I do find I have to switch them pretty often but I just rinse them out in the sink and let them dry for the next time I need to switch them. The cord is longer than the one on my Kirby which means I rarely have to switch plugs. It is the only vacuum I have found with a cord this long. It is light and so easy to move around. It will lay flat for getting under tables. You can switch to just using the wand with your foot! It just pulls out of the head for when you are chasing cobwebs! And then it just clips right back in - easiest change ever. The light on it is bright enough to really help you see things. Cons: About my only grumble with the vacuum is that it won't stand up on its own - so when you want to put it down you have to lean it against something. I understand that the design makes it top heavy but I really think they could have figured something out so it doesn't crash to the floor all the time! I got this on sale and it was a great deal.

Shark is my go to brand. Cutting of hair really does work!
