It doesn't taste dark and you don't taste the 9% ABV. It has a very citrusy flavor and has a strong but tasty aftertaste. I am very glad to say that Voodoo Ranger was the only beer with glass bottles in the entire store.

I wish they offered a low carb or low calorie version of this product because I would keep that in stock at my house. But as far as the taste, the flavor is amazing. I would recommend this beer.

Ever since New Belgium released 'Rampant Imperial IPA,' I was immediately hooked into the unique flavor profile. Although things have changed, the flavor profile has not...that beer that has since been rebranded 'Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA' and is everything special that the original offers. How New Belgium has an IPA grain bill with 'Black' malt is certainly crazy, but it works with great results. Also, the the date coding which shows both Born On and Best By date codes illustrates just how fresh the beer you are purchasing actually is. It is an easy, daily drinker for 9% and New Belgium's consistency is one of the best in the industry.

This imperial IPA is pretty smooth but you certainly get the taste of hops, which for me isn't overpowering but it's certainly there. As somebody that usually tends to lean towards German beers, this is a good alternative and switches things up a little bit in between. I'd probably buy again.

It has a very smooth taste to it. it has a very tame and rich taste as the flavors are mixed together very well. This is something that you could have with any meal. It does not have any bad aftertaste to it. it has the perfect amount of hops that are mixed very well giving it a smooth finish. I like the fact that it's 9% alcohol by volume.

I am typically not an IPA fan because they are typically a bit bitter, however, this imperial IPA has great base flavor, is not overly "hoppy" and provides a nice finish of Pine and citrus.
