The mattress protector will protect the mattress and soak up any spills if any liquids fall on the bed and if any dirt get on the bed. The mattress protector is machine washable which is great and it’s quite comfortable which the sheets.

The sheets slide around on the top of the mattress protector when you move, and the corners of the sheets don’t stay down because it is so slippery. As far as the cooling capability, there was not really a difference. Overall we didn’t really care for it and have already removed it from the mattress.

This is perfect for people (like me) who get hot when they sleep. Also, I noticed it doesn't make noises when I move unlike those covers that are more plastic like. I did notice that the material isn’t as padded as my last mattress cover, but maybe that’s why I was so hot with the other one. The first night I used it was the first really chilly night of the year, so that was a bad time to start using it. But at least I know it works as it should. Under normal circumstances, this is perfect for me. I like keeping my room warm but I also want my sheets cool, which is exactly what this does.
