on an older Yukon we used ...

on an older Yukon we used the older tire modle the LTX M/S and were thrilled. Now that we have a newer Yukon that needed tires I without hesitation purchased the LTX M/S2. With my first drive we were going to be equally thrilled. Just as the I expected the tire was quite and rides very nice. Traction in all "noraml" conditions have been all we expected and more. Now, granted this is not a true mudd and snow tire but then again most of us do not drive off road in mud nor drive in unplowed roads or if they are unplowed they will only have a few inches of snow waiting for the plow to come back through again. And I must say for all normal situations this tire as been very very good. I can not speak to the wear on the M/S2's however is there are as good (they are supposed to be better) as the older M/S's I am expecting great wear life. On our old truck we have 35,000 on the tires with city, hwy and snow driving and the tires still looked like new and in most case still had more tread remaining than much of the "new" tires you could buy. If you are considering this tire for real world driving you will not be disapointed. And although they are a bit of an investment up front consides these 2 points.....your car may have the greates brake and traction control system but are always limited by the traction offered by the tires, these are very good for traction. Next, when you consider the wear life of these tires verses the compitition (especially budget tires) and veres thier wear life and price....the LTX M/S's, in the long run will prove to be among the best value available.

Unbeatable!!!

Unbeatable! I can't think of another word to describe these tires! Stable, quiet, sticky. I can go on and on. These tires are on my F-350 4x4 dually. This truck isn't exactly built to be a luxurious, comfortable ride or a curve hugging sports car but now my wife even likes to drive this truck because it feels more like her SUV, which has "Michelin Defender" tires on it. Sure, I paid about 10% more for these tires, but now that I have experienced them, I would have paid 25% more! I did get almost 90,000 miles out of the OEM tires but they never performed like these tires do. Auto manufacturers should consider putting these on as OEM tires. I use this truck for almost everything from pulling construction equipment trailers, to going to church. These tires are simply, 'Unbeatable'!!!

Worth the Money

I was hesitant at first to spend the extra money on these tires, but so far it seems like it was the right decision. These tires ride great, are super quiet, and have eliminated the squeling noise I would hear when I cut the wheel sharp on my silverado. Worth every Penny. I will definitly be looking at Michelin tires when my wife needs new tires here soon!

Smooth!

These tires were recommended by the Mercedes dealer where we get our Roadtrek (Sprinter) RV serviced, even though the Roadtrek originally came with another brand of tire. I've got six tires on this Sprinter, so this was not a cheap replacement, but having made several trips in the RV since then, I can state that they are definitely smoother than the originals. Pretty quiet too, even at highway speeds (in parts of Nevada and Utah, that means "around" 80mph). Because we live in northern California, I can't yet attest to their handling in wet weather/snow, but I've driven some pretty winding roads in a fully-loaded RV, and haven't had any problems with grip/traction. All in all, a great tire in my book -- thanks, Mr Burnett! (the service advisor who recommended them)

Driving Rain

On 8-7-13 we went to Carlisle Pa to pick up some bunnies...and it started to rain...and rain really hard i could just see the yellow lines on road way...my new Michenlin pushed the water out of the way ... ans we arrived at home safe and sound...we didn't need to pull off the road even once...the tires took us all the way home!!!

Great on snow.

The Michelin LTX M/S2 tires are mounted on my Ford F250 Super Duty truck that I use every day as my commuter vehicle. They give me great confidence when driving in rain or on the light snow covered roads we have in Northern Nevada. When the time comes to replace them I will purchase the same tire again. The truck came from the Ford factory with another brand of tire installed and I could not wait to replace the original tires with the Michelins. The Michelins give me a much better ride, better handling, and exhibit better wear than the factory originals.

Always good

These tires always meet or exceed the wear out warranty while maintaining their ride quality. I have yet to experience a better riding, long life tire. This is my third set. One thing to keep in mind that proper vehicle maintenance (tire rotation, inflation checks, and alignments including worn front end part replacements including shocks and struts always ensures maximum tire life.) I worked 20 years in O.E. automotive testing field. Many of my fellow employee's use Michelins and they have long commutes. They also have recorded well over 100,000 miles on Michelins ...... That's what has sold me over the years.

Best tires money can buy

This is the second set if the LTX MS tires we have purchased with this set being the improved MS2 version. Both sets have been on a Yukon XL with our current set on a 2007 4wd. Tire wear after almost 40,000 miles still has more tread than most of the competition does when new so I would say wear is excellent. The tires are quiet, ride nice and for what we used the truck for...everyday in town, hwy and towing, they handle just fine too. Even under hard braking I have never felt like the tires were at the edge of breaking loose. I know in a review I am supposed to list the pro's and cons but there really isn't any cons I can come up with for my use. I guess if there was a cin, it would be these are not great "off road tires". Then again that is not thier aim either. If I wanted a mud tire I would have gotten one. What I wanted was a good all around tire for snow, city, hwy, towing and the occasional back road / dirt road excursion. With that said I count be happier and can not imagine buying anything else for the next Yukon we purchase. When you figure tread wear and the cost of installing new tires, these tires without a doubt are probably some of the best values you will find even compared to the cheap store brands as they will wear out faster and in the end will end up costing more.

Great Product. Worth the expense.

I have had Michelin tires on my 2002 GMC Yukon since I can remember. This time, the model had been updated/changed to the LTX M/S2. So far, I am very pleased with the tires. The ride is smooth. I have had no quality issues. They look great on my truck. Overall, this is my brand (so long as I can afford them).

Great all weather handling tire

These tires were recommended to me from a couple of friends. We drive onto the beach, for surf fishing. I had another manufacturer on my Honda Pilot, that I hated. They were terrible in wet weather. I always had to be extra cautious about driving in wet weather. As I stated earlier; we drive onto the beach. I have never gotten stuck and they dig in real well. On the highway these tires are very quiet. The one thing that is a must is maitenance and tire rotation. We have 4 cars in the family and I have Michelin tires on all our cars.
