This is my second set of ...

This is my second set of these tires on my truck. I pull a 11,000 lb fifth wheel travel trailer and find these tires provide the best traction and stability of any tire I have ever used. I only use Michelin tires on my vehicles. Experience with other brands of tires has proven Michelin to be the best choice of tires.

Very noisy

I have had a set of four Defender LTX 245/65 R17 on my Toyota Higlander for six months, I have had many dozens of Michelin tires over the last 40 years. I have always found them to be the best tires available. Best ride, and quietest tires I have had. This last set has been very disappointing. They are the noisiest tires I have ever had.

Fleet Operator

I have over 100 vehicles in a rural fleet; more than half of them traveling on highways and on gravel back roads. Whenever I change from another tire brand to Michelin, the drivers vocally praise the improvement in ride, handling and quietness -- they're that much better! Yeah, Michelin tires cost more, but I don't worry about the tires on our vehicles when they're Michelin. Previous "other-brand" tires have had abnormal wear patterns, frequent flats and even tread separation, loud noises (is that the tire or a bearing going bad?), and didn't handle well. But even with continuous alignment issues of more than half of our vehicles (a manufacturer design flaw), the Michelin tires wear exceptionally well and compensate beautifully. Flats are a fluke with Michelin and usually require running over something larger than a big bolt -- flats just aren't common with Michelin, period. And forget about tread separation! It doesn't happen. And the Michelins are very smooth and quiet -- and handle well in just about any weather condition. They are worth the extra money -- even when I buy about 200 tires per year! I won't buy anything but Michelin now and my drivers are quite happy about that.

Excellent tires

I have a 97 Chevy Silverado 4wd regular cab. The Michelin LTX MX2s are by far the best tires Ive ever owned. They ride so smooth and quiet. They dont vibrate or shake at all. My fuel economy went up and the truck drives more straight. Ive had all kinds of truck tires and never liked any of them until i got these. They are worth the money. They grip real well on wet roads and also off the road. I really like them a lot.

Disappointed

I'm very disappointed in the mileage of these tires, I put them on with wheel alignment, and rotation every 6,000 miles in August of 2010. Mileage when I put them on was 31641 and today the mileage with little tread showing is 68957 that is 37316 miles which is 53% of the 70K miles advertised. I'm 75 and have never "hot-rodded" these tires, I just want to go A to B. Wednesday I will be putting another manufacturer's tire on my Avalanche. I just wanted Michelin to know why I'm leaving your company after many years as a customer. This is my first disappointment with Michelin in 30 years. I just thought it was unfair for me to just bad mouth Michelin. You are the people that can do something about this problem. The price for these tires was double what I could have bought others for that had a 40K warranty. Won't be spending my money on another maybe tire with Michelin.

These tires check all the boxes

I know little about vehicle servicing and even less about tires. When told on a routine service that I would need new tires before my upcoming inspection, I turned to the online sites I've come to respect for no-nonsense advice for people like me. I found that Michelin were highly rated by both experts and purchasers. I then learned that the OEM tires for my particular vehicle were Michelin (not what was on the vehicle by the time I purchased it). And finally I learned that, contrary to expectation, Michelin were reasonably priced. I found Michelins that fit my vehicle and matched my driving habits/weather: the LTX M/S2. I then read online reviews about this particular tire. Confident, I bought them. I've now been driving on them for four months and can honestly say that I notice the difference in the sound and handling of the vehicle (especially in the rain). I would highly recommend these tires to anyone who's looking to check all the boxes of quality, performance and affordability.

I have been running ...

I have been running Michelin tires for 25 years. They have provided the best all weather braking and the longest wear, that those I used before. After purchase of a new car, I sell the factory tires and replace them with "My road insurance policy" new Michelin's.

Satisfied

Installed these tires on an 06 Nissan Titan. I was so impressed with my first set that after 80000 miles I bought another set. A very smooth ride. My brother drove my truck and put them on his Titan too. More expensive than other competitors but well worth the money.

best ever tire

From the very first time I got these Michelin's, I've been smiling. They're the most quietest, smoothest riding tire I've had. The first set lasted longer than the wear life was rated which makes the cost of these even a better deal. I've had many brands before these, but will never go back. They're great on rain and snow. The traction makes handling easy and safe, even in braking. I've even seen better gas mileage. Other tire companies should try to match your excellence.

Best handling and longest wearing tire.

I needed a tire that would give me long mileage as well as good handling under wet conditions for my FJ Cruiser. I never expect a tire to actually last the full warranty period. But with Michelin they give their dealers the power to make adjustments immediately on your next set. This conviced me and the difference in driving was apparent as soon as I got behind the wheel. This is the best tire for the money on the market!
