LTX M/S2

I have been on these tires through all four seasons and in rain mud sleet and snow they have not left me searching for traction to propel forward. The only part I wish they didn't do is when on a gravel road they pick up the small rocks and fling them on top of my truck. The handeling is great and they resist hydroplaning better than any tire I have owned. I am very satisfied and plan to be a repeat owner of these tires.

Only tires I will roll on my vehicles

Placed a set of michelin tires on my new '87 camry after the factory tires were worn just to see if the claims were close. I was very impressed with the performance of the tires quiet road noise, stirring, gas mileage and durability(~10%more miles of stated rating miles). Mileage were mainly highway usage. Thus, when the new '99 4-runner tires were worn they were replaced with michelin tires since, I had come to rely on michelin's proven dependable product. This time the tires are used on and off road and they are still performing excellent. Now my 2005 camry has a set of michelin tires because you can not find a better product in my assessment.

Good Tires MAKE a difference

In the past, I attempted to purchase the best tires available on a limited budget. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase MICHELIN'S for the first time for my Chevy P/U. I could not believe the difference in handling and overall comfort I experienced with these donuts on my vehicle. My hat is off to the Michelin baker on an outstanding product. Thanks Michelin Man.

"Nothing compares to a Michelin ride"

At age 54 I have driven a few miles. I always drive a pickup and it always rolls on Michelins. These tires provide a noticeably more comfortable ride and are tougher than nails. Treadlife and fuel economy more than prove why in the long run Michelin is the best value as well. My Silverado has turned a lot of miles, going on 200,000 ,Michelin has been a big part of the journey.

GREAT TIRES

I put these tires on 2007 Chevy Tahoe LT 2wd. Thet ride great, seem to be wearing good, and give this vehicle a very stable ride. We tow a 3500 lb boat and they work great for this use. this is the third set of tires installed on this car, but the first Michelins. They are by far much better than either of the other brand tires I have had on the car. Thanks, RH

Great Tire

I have a 2010 Ford King Ranch. I recently replaced the OEM tires with Michelin LTX M/S2. The ride is so much smoother and really quiet. This is not my first set of LTX M/S2 tires and certainly won't be my last. I had these tires on a 2005 Chevy Silverado before I bought this truck. All around great tire.

Best Tires I've ever purchased!

Best tires I've ever put on any of my SUVs... quiet ride, great traction in the rain! and in the sand. Smooth comfortable ride and they look great! Best wear rating out of all the tires out there as well... Would definitely recommend these to anyone and everyone for their light truck or SUV.

Great for Hwy & Occasional Off-Road Use

I replaced my Michelin Cross-Terrain tires with the LTX MS-2 tires. The ride is just as good as the Cross Terrains which I loved. Off-road in mud and soggy grassy areas was easily handled , but there has been no snow to play in so far. I think there is a little bit more side roll with this tire vs. the Cross Terrain. My '06 4Runner has the X-Reas suspension, and has always stayed level going through moderate turns. The LTX MS-2 tires seem to be just a little bit softer but not by much. The ride is incredible, no road noise whatsoever, and I would feel confident heading off into most off-road situations with these tires.

Beware - Gas mileage dropped over 13%

The LTX M/S 2's are the 5th set of Michelins I have purchased for my various vehicles - 3 other sets beng LTX M/S and the orginal Michelin A/S tires, that these new LTX M/S 2's replaced. They went on a 2010 Ford F150 Crew Cab that I use for business. The priginal A/S tires lasted 92,000 miles which I thought was good. As you can tell by the year and the mileage, I put between 45,000- 50,000 miles per year on the vehicle so a good set of tires is important and I always thought the Michelin tires to be the best value - lowest cost per mile to run. I wanted to replace the A/S tires with another set of A/S tires but was told by the dealer that they were "unavailable". He spoke of the LTX M/S 2's so I went ahead and got the set. Never did I realize that there would be an affect on gas mileage. I keep very detailed records of my miles and fuel consumed and, to the date of install of the new tires my fuel mileage, under the same driving condions, dropped over 13% or 2.7 MPG. Assuming the same tread wear on these that I had on the orginal A/S tires , my fuel cost is going to increase by $2200 over the life of the tire. Any value gained by the longer trad life is lost five-fold due to the decreased fuel efficiency. Unfortuneatley I did not realize the effect untril after the 30 day warranty ran out or I would have returned the tires. I expected a slight change in the fuel efficiency with the more aggressive tread , but not anything near this drastic.

Best tire made

I've used Michelins for ever. Always rode nice and long tread life. I tried being a cheap boy for a day and bought C_______ls. LIttle cheaper. 3 flats in 6 months. Having tires taken off and putting Michelins back on. Wasn't worth the 100 bucks I saved. I drive 50k a year. tom
