This is by far one of the ...

This is by far one of the best tires I have ever ridden on. I have not tested it off road, but I have driven it in the snow. This tire gets excellent wet traction, snow traction, and dry traction. This is a very quiet tire and very comfortable ride. I don't know anyone could go wrong with this one unless you are off road all the time.

Great overall tire!

If your thinking about buying these tires but hesitant because of the price don't be! I have had a few sets of the Michelin LTX M/S on various trucks/SUVs and got over 70,000 out of each set. Since the M/S2's are the newer version I thought I would try them. So far I like them better then the M/S's they replaced but only have 10,000 miles on them. They provide good traction on dry pavement, snow and rain. Can't comment on trail ability of these tires. They provide a very quiet ride and wear evenly. Gas mileage is good and didn't change any from the M/S's to the M/S2's. I have never had a flat with these tires. I liked the looks of the white lettering on the M/S's better but it wasn't a deal breaker. I will continue to buy these tires for my trucks/SUVs for years to coming.

Love the LTX MS2's

These tires are the best that I have driven on any of my SUV's. They were more expensive but well worth it. From the minute I saw them on the SUV I notices the very deep tread which should last longer as their reports say. And, the tires are super quiet so the long lasting tread has no downside. I also feel super secure driving on the new tires. I feel the differnece on the road. They grop the road and I feel very safe on them. The only downside is that they have a lower speed rating than the Lattitude or others, but I do not plan on driving 130 mph in my large Nissan Armada. They are worth the extra $100 per tire!

What a fantastic tire

I purchased these tires for my Chevy Avalanche and could not be happier. The improved ride and stability are amazing. I could not believe the dramatic improvements to an already great riding vehicle. There is decreased road noise and these tires really remove the water from the treads. They look, ride and perform perfectly.

Great Tires!

I've had these tires for three years (50 k miles) and the wear is absolutely minimal. They still look as if I just put them on. These things definitely live up to the hype. I saw a few reviews that have one star and said they were already worn down. I'm not trying to discredit anyone, but maybe they just didn't purchase them at a reputable dealer and received a knockoff? The car handles great and the breaking is also greatly improved. Definitely a great tire.

Great tire - great value

I made it to 40,000 miles on the original tires on my Ford F-150, with tires that normally don't go nearly that far. The key was proper balance, air pressure, and rotation (every 5,000 miles). Even though I nearly doubled the average miles on those tires, I knew the tire that would replace the originals would have to do better. I checked some on-line blogs and Consumer Reports. Everything seemed to point to Michelin. I have been a Michelin customer for years, so this was not a hard sell for me. I bought the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires at the end of December, so I'm going on about 9 months of testing. So far, I would absolutely buy them again. They're rugged and ride well and they have the best balance (in my opinion) of roll resistance and rubber compound. Stopping distances are not longer than with the original equipment tires and they take bumps very well. I was concerned about tread life vs. traction, but again, the balance of the mileage expectation and the ability to stop and make it confidently through a curve have not been compromised. Since no tire is impervious to road hazards, I purchased the hazard insurance. The feeling of security with this tire makes me confident in putting my family in this truck knowing I've done all I can to make it as safe as possible. I recommend this brand as well as this particular tire, and I will very likely purchase more in the future. Oh, did I mention my average MPG has gone up two tenths? That may not sound like a lot, but over the life of the vehicle, it adds up. Since I check the mileage with every gas purchase to ensure everything's working as it should, I can tell you, the numbers are accurate.

NEW LTX

LTX2 were purchased as replacement for the OEM tires which had worn out in 22K miles, I'm a long time Michelin customer that has used the LTX on many of my trucks, when the size has been available? I love the smooth ride and great wear the LTX's have given me in the past, after 1500 miles on this new LTX2 set they seem very nice, only time will tell. The only thing I did not like was the tires when mounted on new wheels, they required allot of weight to balance out? we will see if that not a problem later in the life of the LTX2. All in all. I'm very happy with my new LTX's!! One more thing, This for Michelin add more sizes to the LTX2 line and a XL load range would be great, 285/45/22 for my Escalade would be nice?

Michelin LTX M/S2 The only tires!!!

We only run Michelins on our SUVs because we know we can count on the smoothest and quietest ride from out LTX M/S2s. When my wife and kids are driving, I have confidence that these are the safest tires on the market and I get 70,000-80,000 miles from a set!

An Engineer's Perspective

A vehicle is only as good as it performs. I am humored by Truck Manufacturers (in the same case, auto manufacturers) stating how well their vehicle handles, hauls, works and performs. The vehicles engine, transmission, special packages only have value of beneficial performance ONLY if the tires are able to perform. One accident, one mishap, or one non-scheduled problem as result of poor tires more than justifies the premium cost of this product over other lesser priced competitor brands. With this tire, I believe I am buying the BEST. And suggest same to others.

The only tire I'll use in AZ

These are the only tires I've found that will give me over 70,000 miles while being parked on asphalt in full sun at 110+ degrees all summer. Even though I've driven through road construction many months during the years, I've never had a flat, either. Nothing but Michelin for me!
