This is my second set of ...

This is my second set of these tires on my truck. I pull a 11,000 lb fifth wheel travel trailer and find these tires provide the best traction and stability of any tire I have ever used. I only use Michelin tires on my vehicles. Experience with other brands of tires has proven Michelin to be the best choice of tires.

Great tire - great value

I made it to 40,000 miles on the original tires on my Ford F-150, with tires that normally don't go nearly that far. The key was proper balance, air pressure, and rotation (every 5,000 miles). Even though I nearly doubled the average miles on those tires, I knew the tire that would replace the originals would have to do better. I checked some on-line blogs and Consumer Reports. Everything seemed to point to Michelin. I have been a Michelin customer for years, so this was not a hard sell for me. I bought the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires at the end of December, so I'm going on about 9 months of testing. So far, I would absolutely buy them again. They're rugged and ride well and they have the best balance (in my opinion) of roll resistance and rubber compound. Stopping distances are not longer than with the original equipment tires and they take bumps very well. I was concerned about tread life vs. traction, but again, the balance of the mileage expectation and the ability to stop and make it confidently through a curve have not been compromised. Since no tire is impervious to road hazards, I purchased the hazard insurance. The feeling of security with this tire makes me confident in putting my family in this truck knowing I've done all I can to make it as safe as possible. I recommend this brand as well as this particular tire, and I will very likely purchase more in the future. Oh, did I mention my average MPG has gone up two tenths? That may not sound like a lot, but over the life of the vehicle, it adds up. Since I check the mileage with every gas purchase to ensure everything's working as it should, I can tell you, the numbers are accurate.

Best tire for a pickup

Put these tires on an F150 super crew. Great ride, quiet ride and great handling. Had these on a Tundra and they lasted better than the other brands I used to try to save some money. These tires are worth the extra cost. I will always put the LTX M/S on my trucks, there is simply not a better tire.

Replaced my Goodyear Wranglers

Was scheduled to replace tires today on my Sierra crew cab & couldn’t have picked a better day. Picked the Defender and while it’s only been one day can say the difference is incredible. I can tell a huge difference just driving in the lot, had to think if I was driving the same truck. Incredibly quite on the way home less roar, very smith more like riding in air with a firm grip. My only concern was speeding it always seemed as I was traveling 10 MPH less then I realy was.

AWESOME TIRE

Perfect tire for my 2005 Honda Pilot EX. Excellent traction in wet weather, gravel roads, and the Honda rides smooth like a limousine on the highway and city roads - smooth and quiet. I look forward to another 60,000+ enjoyable miles. I would recommend the tires to all my friends.

Always Michelin/ No substitute

I and my company have used various Michelin types and sizes of tires since the early 1960's. In all those years I have had one tire failure and it was replaced without question. I am presently using the XC TX4 265/65/R17 110-S. I have traveled 78,000 miles on these tires and believe I still have another 5-10,000 remaining. Getting ready to take an extensive trip and have just ordered new replacements. They are now TX4 M/S2. I usually average between 70-90,000 on every set of Michelins I have owned. One thing I never have to worry about in my travels are my tires. It's always Michelin for my family.

LTX M/S2 Great On Chevy Silverado

I purchased a set of Michelin LTX M/S2 tires for my Chevrolet Silverado crew cab 4X4, and after two weeks and a couple of 200 mile round-trips I can say my truck rides like a Cadillac! Three years ago, I thought I would save money by purchasing a cheaper brand of tire, but after not even 35,000 miles, they were almost worn out. This time I read all the great reviews about this tire and agreed that even though these tires are more expensive, the higher tread life of 700 tread wear rating, and a bit better gas mileage offsets the higher price. Had I purchased Michelins the last time I needed tires, I would have had plenty of tread left. Time will tell how long they really last, but after reading other reviews, I believe this is the best tire you can get for your pickup truck. The old adage is true: "You get what you pay for"!

Quite, Durable, Works, Last

I bought these tires as a replacement for my Xterra 4x4. Was looking for a long life tire, good in the snow, excellent in the rain, and quite. I drive a significant amount of highway miles a year >20k, and do road trips for vacations in the winter to climates that need tread. I am at 45k into the 70k mile rating, still holding strong, still quite, still doing their job like I need them to. Rain and snow have plenty of bite, and the occossional lite off roading hold up as well. Will most certainly go back with these or the comparable michelin product at that time. ....waiting for the other new car's tires to wear out so i can get the defenders on there.

I alway purchase Michelin ...

I alway purchase Michelin tires because they wear better and keep their tread longer and grip the road better in winter conditions. Also I have found that Michelin tires require less maintenance than other tires. I have owned several sets of Michelin tires and they have never let me down and I am pricing a set to put on my 4 X 4 vehicle.
