Living on past reputation

The last set of Michelins (LTX) we're bad at 30,000 miles. They still had tread left but they started riding rough and made a strange thumping noise. Had them balanced 4 times even speed balanced with very little success. During the short life of the tires I had them rotated and balanced with each approx 5,000 mile service. Question-Bad set of tires? Most likely. Could not get it resolved. Bought a different type of tire same company. Just beware and make sure of your warranty in writing.

2010 Chevy Silverado 4X4 Crew Cab

I got over 60K out of my first set of LTXMS2 Tires! They are simply awesome all the way around. Great ride with a truck without giving up safety! Just bought a new set with winter coming and have no regrets! Simply no better truck tire for the money...Ive driven trucks for 20 years ----

LTXM/S2

The tires are great for our trips back and forth from Wisconsin to Illinois the ride was excellent the expedition was easy to handle. I wouldn't recommending buying in a different state then where you live but I swear on the tire being one of the greatest rides

81K miles from LTX M/S2 tires

I've had LTX M/S2 tires on my 2003 Suburban for five years. After over 81,000 miles, I've finally replaced them with new a new set of Michelin Defenders. My local tire shop rotated them with every oil change (for free!) and I've never had a problem with them. They wear evenly, and have never had any air loss, leaks or punctures. My mechanic said that I still had enough tread left on the old tires to pass the state inspection, but opted on the side of safety. Who knows how many miles they could have gone. Some people may balk at the cost, but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this tire for trucks & SUV's.

The PERFECT SUV/Truck Tire!

This is my 6th set of Michelin LTX M/S tires on 3 different SUVs over 12 years; the last two sets have been M/S2 version. I drive a lot of miles in all conditions including 6000+ mile road trips. We're in Colorado and need performance onroad and offroad, these handle everything a stock 4Runner and Tahoe will handle in terms of 4-Wheeling forest service roads (not the nice ones either) and jeep trails. We've gone 4-Wheeling with our church's jeep club and been able to tackle everything on 'stock+' trails. Winter performance is exceptional on snow and ice conditions. Gas mileage is very good, better than comparable tires from other manufacturers. Best yet is the mileage we get out of them; on 4Runners ('96 and '03) I easily get 65,000 and just replaced my last set at 75,000 for winter driving (not yet to the wear indicators). Never had a flat, and the tires wear very evenly assuming your vehicle is well maintained. On my heavier 2002 Tahoe, the LTX M/S has worn much better than other name brand LT tires. I highly recommend to all, these are well worth the price for performance.

Great tire!

The LTX M/S2 is a great tire. I had the LTX M/S tire and did more than 80 thousand miles through rain and more than 20 major snow storms 100's of mountain pass crossings with out one bit of problem. The LTX M/S2 tire new tread compound is looking like it has even better wet and icy road holding qualities. Road noise and ride are better than any other SUV tire I have ever experienced. I operate a fleet of vehicles and time and again Michelin Tire prove they are the best.

My first Michelin's!

My LTXM/S2 tires are mounted on a 2011 Suburban and rotated every 3000-4000 miles even when traveling on extended traveling situations. Ride is smooth, control outstanding and wear excellent. Local dealer support is excellent. These are my first Michelin's but not my last. Performance providers security when traveling.

Best tire have have ever owned

I am retired and use this tire around town and trips out of town for vacations. The first thing I noticed about this tire is how much smoother ride and quieter on the road it was than the factory supplied tires. I can not say that I have any negative comments about this tire.

Good riding set of tires!

I bought the tires several months ago and they haven't let me down yet. Traction is good and was one of the factors due to some regular out of town trips. The cost was a little more than I wanted to spend but with the mileage I was going to be traveling I needed some higher end tires that would last a long time. Overall I'm happy with the tires!

Riding miles with lots of smiles

Michelin tires are all that I put on my vehicle. They have the best warranty and they stand behind it. I 'm in the construction industry and job sites are hard on tires. Not to mention hauling materials to the job. They also do great in wet conditions.
