These garbage bags are anything but ultra strong, they rip so ridiculously easy that unless you're filling it with bubble wrap you can count on managing a mess. If you choose to use them I'd keep them less the 2/3 full and under about 8 lbs.

these bags and the blue ties lack the strength of Sam's MM bags. I filled 10 bags yesterday - 8 Hefty, 2 Sams. 6 Hefty blue ties stretched, broke and ripped thru the bag. needed to partially fill with leaves and pine needles. Was able to tie and pull both Sam's bags out of the can without ripping the bag open. Don't be fooled by a marketing person printing " ultra strong" and supper stretch on a box.

I DO NOT know how these trash bags got any 5 star ratings. I switched to Hefty because the Member Mark bags had gone down in quality. Well, these are not any better. They are so thin that no matter how little you put in them they rip if there is so much as a square shape to anything. No pressure or sharp edge is required. They rip. They leak. I was bagging up some excess cleaning products and I threw away a spray bottle of water that had less than a 1/4 cup of water in it. The bag was not full (only about 1/8 filled), not moved (I put everything in the bag without moving the bag), and when I went to pick it up to take it out to the trash can, there was a puddle on the floor. So, my question is, what are you meant to put in these bags? Air? That's about all they are good for and THAT would probably leak too.

The draw strings approximately 97% of the time come loose. Consequently, you cannot tie the trash bag to close it. Additionally, approximately 60% of the time there is about 4 inch slit on the side-it spreads as you place trash in the bag. I first I thought it was a one box occurrence (NOT)! I'm on my second 90 bag box I purchased from Sam's and the problems are the same. I will never purchase again! I had no previous problems with this brand.

they are fine for garbage bags. 3 stars because no where does it say they are scented. i popped one open to put in garbage can and got a face full of fragrance and instant migraine. so if you have fragrance sensitivity stay away. i will not buy again.

I have used these exact bags for years now and they have always been of high quality, until our last two purchases. They have literally downgraded the quality of the bags, which now tear very easily, to include along the drawstring seam. What a shame. Hefty, can you please return to making the same quality bag that's profited your company for years?

Nowhere in the description or on the packaging does it say these are scented. I have issues with common air fresheners and such things. These bags are scented. Let me describe the agonizing joy of changing a trash bag and being greated with a scent-triggered migraine as I pull a bag out of the box. Why didn't I return them? Found this out 2 weeks after purchase when teenager whose chores include trash duty is out of town for a month. And I have no interest in driving almost 100 miles with this smell in my car to return something I had shipped to me. Bags themselves are everything you expect from the brand, strong/stretchy, large capacity.

If I could give a negative five stars I would. I bought a large box of Heavy Duty Hefty, 33 gal trash bags. The bottom of these bags gave way three times, and dumped trash on my kitchen floor. I now use two bags to avoid a disaster. I will never buy Hefty trash bags again!

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Heavy duty, large-capacity bags with drawstring-style closure. I lined the large trash can that is kept in the garage with it. Smaller bags of trash from the house were tossed in there, as well as small waste: trash from the car or outside, etc. I`ve did not have a single bag rip-- not even having the drawstring rip loose when the bag is over-weight. The drawstring is tight enough, and the material heavy enough, to help contain smells if I neglect to put the trash out for pickup. I would recommend the bags for anyone who uses trash bags.

The Hefty Ultra bags definitely serves its purpose. A couple of my favorite things about this Item its that it is true to its description. It is very durable and large.... In comparison to other like products/ brands , so far this one has allowed me to put more items and it doesn`t tear easy when items inside are sharp, or have pointy ends. Overall I am satisfied with the product and meets my expectations for trash bags.
