I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. This review is on The Hefty Ultra Strong 33 Gallon Trash Bags (90 ct.), the box that came in the mail was rather large and quite heavy. I was quite surprised how large the bags are, I received them right before Thanksgiving and must admit they were amazing, as we only needed one trash bag for all the trash on Thanksgiving, when it usually takes four or five trash bags, minimum for all the throw away paper goods. The bag is incredibly strong and well made. Since they are enormous we actually used them for yard cleanup of leaves and sticks and they are so strong that the sticks did not even puncture through the bag. I would highly recommend these trash bags if you have a need for a large sturdy bag.

I had to buy this brand because SAMs was out of their brand. I usually buy the Members Mark brand with the flaps and not the strings. Hefty tears very easily. Things that I never had to double bag with the other brand, I have to with Hefty. The bags are very thin and not thick. I hope Sams get their brand in stock by the time I get ready to order.

OBVIOUSLY SCENTED. These are labeled "unscented," and every time someone in our house goes around getting the trash (not me, as these smell completely disgusting) I can very obviously smell them. I do not have allergies or chemical sensitivities or anything. I don't even think my nose is that sensitive. These trash bags very clearly have a scent and, whatever it is, it is NOT good. If I wanted a scented trash bag, I at least would choose a pleasant smell.

Very difficult to open these garbage bags. No amount of shaking will open them easily. I spend more time doing this. The drawstrings tear far too easily. I'm stuck having to wrap one torn drawstring around the top and to figure out how to completely close the bag. It's too much of a hassle. I want a bag that opens after one shake and it's easy to close. That's not this product.

I have bought these several times before and was satisfied...but I will NOT buy them again. The trash bags in the last box are not sealed on one side near the bottom. I assume if was a production glitz and I was not the only person to purchase from the defective batch. I will purchase a different brand next time...

Hefty is a well known name for the products they make and sell. Unfortunately, the Hefty Ultra Strong 33 gal. trash falls short of what I expected and have experienced from Hefty in the past. This bag is a lightweight bag that punctures easily and the drawstring is easily detached from one side of the bag. I have purchased the similar size bag made by Members Mark in the past, which is a heavier weight bag, less resistant to puncture and a stronger attached drawstring. I purchased the Hefty bag while on sale at Sam's and the first two bags that I used were bags I experienced two tears in the bags due to the thin bag material and one bag where the drawstring came unattached. If you are looking for a strong bag that holds a lot of trash, the Members Mark brand is a better bag.

It is a good product, but! I tried these when they were on sale and they really do not match up to the Members mark 33 Gallon Power Flex bags.
