Good lawn food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to try something different this time when it came to feeding my lawn. I always apply food during the spring and summer to help give my grass a boost and keep it healthy with the strong hot sun. I liked that this food actually gave my grass a greener color.

Incredible Green! But.......

I love the green. I really do love the way it makes my yard look but I am very disappointed in it because of the way it clumps. It took me over 30 minutes to spread 2 small bags because it clumped so bad. I thought my local home supply store just got a bad batch but even a large discount store in my area had bags that from the outside seemed to be wet inside. I assume it is a humidity problem in my area. I have used this product before with great success. Please figure out how to make this spread easier and I will buy a lot of it. As of now I have to stick to Ironite even though it is way more expensive to use a combo of Ironite and Turf Builder.

Dont waste youre money on Green MAX

I am highly disappointed with Scotts's. the Green Max product is the first product I have used of theirs that has completely failed to live up to the claims. I set my broadcast spreader below the recommended setting and it still burnt up my Lawn. where I once had beautiful green Bermuda now I have a brown lawn. I bought Green Max because of recommendations from their website and app. Scotts may have lost my business....

We are very sorry to hear of the lawn damage you experienced while using Scotts Green Max. When used according to label instructions the product does not damage grass. While there is a safety factor built into the product, too much product can cause damage. Was your spreader calibrated and in good working order when it was used? If the calibration is off that could affect how much product is put on. When temperatures consistently above 85 degrees, you should water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. You might also consider that damage may be unrelated. The damage to your lawn is possibly caused by disease or insect damage, or drought stress. If overapplication is suspected, we suggest a watering program of 1/2" of water every 2 to 3 days. Follow this watering plan for at least 3 weeks following the application. Most lawns will recover given time. If the lawn does not recover in 3 weeks or if you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We want you to be confident in our products, this is why we offer a product guarantee. If you would like to further discuss this, please contact us here: http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5

This product worked great for me.

Having used several different fertilizers for the last couple of years, I found Scotts Green Max Fertilizer the best. My grass is truly green; in fact it looks better than my neighbor's grass--this neighbor uses a lawn service. With the fantastic results I see, I highly recommend this product. As a retired teacher I always rated students fairly--and I have followed suit with this fertilizer.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied Scotts Green Max Lawn Food to my lawn and I saw the difference in how it began to get green specially during winter time when the grass gets dormant. I will definitely consider such product in the future.

Fantastic Lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I start to apply this to my lawn right before spring and always end up with a more beautiful green yard. It helps keep my yard one uniform green color. We have dogs and end up with grass that doesn't look very nice unless we fertilizer, hands down this leaves my lawn looking the best. Very impressed with our experience and the compliments we get. I do use a spreader for a more uniform coverage also.

Bad results if any amount of environmental moisture present

I continued to apply this product in a mist, the type of moisture insufficient to call rain. The product stained my concrete driveway, sidewalks and street orange. It gummed up my drop spreader to the point where I needed to take every component apart to clean it. To add insult to injury, it did nothing for my grass.

We are sorry to hear about the staining to your concrete driveway, sidewalks and street that occurred after using Scotts Green Max Lawn Food. The iron in Green Max Lawn Food will stain concrete, pavers and other hard surfaces as indicated on the back of the label. The quicker a stain removal process is begun, the more effective the process will be. Sunlight and water will help to fade the iron stains from the product on outdoor surfaces, but will not completely remove them. Please contact us for additional clean up tips. You also mentioned that you didn't receive any fertilizer response, if repeated applications of fertilizer fail to green the lawn, we recommend that you purchase a soil test kit to check the soil pH. Soil pH should be between 5.5 - 7.5 for lawns. If it is outside this range, add lime (to raise pH) or soil sulfur (to lower pH) at least once a year in spring or fall. A pH imbalance will prevent the lawn from absorbing fertilizer, even if you apply heavily. We want our consumer to have a positive experience and when that doesn't happen, we have our product guarantee. Fantastic Mix

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best product I have found to green up my grass quickly. I water regularly but there always seems to be one area in the sun that turns brown no matter what. I apply this and water and it is green again in no time.

Greenest lawn in your neighborhood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this Scotts Green Max for several years. Apply from June 1 to September 30 once every 5-6 weeks. Apply at a rate slightly lower than that recommended on the bag. At this rate it does not burn the lawn. Within a few days after application, your lawn will be visibly more green and within 1 week you'll have a deep green, lush lawn that will be the envy of your neighborhood.
