The point of the hanging file folder frame is to suspend my hanging file folders instead of them slumping onto the bottom of my file drawer. It works very nicely in suspending them. It took a few minutes to assemble the frames but was not difficult. I may buy a second set for the other drawers.

These file frames are great! I've used them for years in my 4-drawer filing cabinet, and just bought a new set for drawers at my desk. The drawers are too small to allow for the full frame, but instead I put the end supports on the left and right sides of the drawer and cut the supporting bars to fit. (See pic.) Wonderful! The files I access more frequently are readily available to me and hanging them means nothing drops down and gets lost in the depth of the drawer.

The frame is pretty durable and goes together easily. I had to custom cut it for the depth of my file cabinet drawer. The snap off lengths provided didn't go short enough for what I needed, so I marked the length I needed and used a Saws-All to cut it to fit. It is sturdy considering the price. I am sure it will hold up under the weight of my hanging files.

I purchased the Smead Hanging Folder Frames for an older filing cabint. The frames were easy to adjust to make an excellent fit. I was impressed for how durable and sturdy these frames are. All around good quality and made in the USA.

Even though these are letter size, they do not fit a 2 drawer letter size file cabinet. I do not know how the metal bars can be shortened.

The hanging file folder frame arrived a day early. The box showed that it came half way across the country. It had been taped up more than once and there was a hole in one corner. All of the parts were still in the box and in good shape being made of steel. The frames went together easily and I am using them now.

Worked great for my file drawers. It was hard getting them to snap off without a vise grip. Once I took it over to a friend's house and he put them in his vice grip they snapped off right away to the correct size I needed. They were the most inexpensive I could find and also you got two in a package rather than the one listed on Walmart's website. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Putting the frame together was a pain, especially scoring the metal bars to the specific size of my file drawers but once we got a handle on that things were fine.

Works fine, but I didn't measure my drawer. It's shorter than the specifications call for, so I had to use a hacksaw to cut down the side bars. If your drawer is within the specs, you can break the bars at pre-indented locations.

This failed to work for my filing cabinet since it is 6 inches to long even if I do snap it off to the shortest notch. There was no size or measurements on the product so I knew I was taking a chance but since it was the only one without measurements I figured it would fit my filing cabinet. Not true.
