I'm so glad I got on this site and found that I wasn't crazy! I've used Tide all my life and my mother. For a few years now I do not care for the scent. I try to make sure I get “original” scent but I'm guessing the original scent is not so original anymore. To me it has a strong perfume smell and I really can't take it! Is there another scent that is closer to the original? Thanks!

Tide is the best at removing stains and can be used as a pre-treat for stains so they don't set in. Works great in both warm and cold water so one detergent does all my washes. Easy to use clear measuring cap that has lines for 1 to 5 for all load sizes. Works in both he washers and traditional washing machines. I would highly recommend to anyone. A true classic. Don't stray from what works. I have attempted to try a few other brands and always go back to my trusty tide. It cleans nicely without damaging your clothes or fading them too much. I don't worry about the scent of detergent because I use scented fabric softeners which leave a lingering fragrance. The price point for this is just right. It runs competitively to other popular brands.

The Original Tide laundry detergent was outstanding in its cleaning results and the clean fresh fragrance it left in my laundry. I am so disappointed in the change. I think my laundry smells as tho it is slightly soured. ( as tho it was left in the washer for several days) . It reminds of Gain, that I tried once and hated the smell it left in my clothes. I have sadly purchased my last bottle of Tide detergent.

The new smell is nauseating. Obviously the market research wasn't accurate as so many people hate the new smell. So why won't you change it back? What are you doing proctor and gamble? Why change something that was great as is and make it terrible? You lost a customer for good. Something is very wrong with your marketing research and quality depts.
