Wilted after several hours

The bouquet looked great in the store, the printed date was 8 days ahead. It took me less than 30 minutes to bring it home and put into room temperature water with the suppled flower food dissolved in it. Several hours later, some of the roses started showing signs of wilting, and the next morning, a third of the bouquet was dead. One of the worst flower puchases ever, very disappointing!
