I am so glad I got the tires when I did. My car is still new and I thought my regular tires would be good enough for the winter here in Upstate New York, but the first hint of frost and I was sliding already. I have traveled about 5000 miles on these new tires to date. My wife and I took a road trip and traveled extensively on 2 lane county and state roads. We experienced some heavy rains in Wyoming and the Dakotas. These tires eat standing water like it isn't there. They corner and brake very true on wet and dry pavement. I was pessimistic about the tread design but it does channel water away from the tires very efficiently. I haven't had a chance to drive on snow or ice but have no fear that they will perform equally well in those conditions. Also, they are much quieter than the Continentals Ford loves to put on cars. I am very glad I bought these and will again if they wear as advertised.

I JUST EXCHANGED MY DEFENDER 2 TIRES AFTER 5 WEEKS FOR CROSSCLIMATE 2 TIRES BECAUSE THE DEFENDER 2 TIRES WERE TOO LIGHT FOR MY 2005 LINCOLN TOWN CAR AND WERE TRANSMITTING ROAD VIBRATIONS THROUGH MY STEERING WHEEL. THE CROSSCLIMATE 2 TIRES ARE HEAVIER AND PROVIDE A LIKE FACTORY-NEW, VERY SMOOTH RIDE!

I travelled yesterday in one of my most adventurous drives along the snowstorm direction from Chicago to Detroit. I94 was a combination of slosh pit and fresh accumulated snow at various stretches. Michigan roads were bad to start with. But this tire (and some driving skills, well tire mainly) kept me going at 65 to 70 MPH in that snow and gave me a lot of confidence to drive over. As some users have noted can't speak of its performance well into its life but these were installed 2 months ago and had very less mileage on them as of writing this review. If you hit a heap of snow as in when changing lanes though - because of the way the tire is grooved to let a lot of rain and snow flow outwards you will see a significant slowdown than other tires. It is good if you are in control and have no vehicle around but bad if you are in a traffic. Just the driver has to account for this change in performance style compared to other tires (Ex: Michelin Defender). Another major downside of this tire is on grooved roads - it becomes wobbly thanks to the non continuous contact patch type tread design but isnt dangerous in anyway. Same goes for snow. And despite that wobbliness, cornering in this is a hoot. If these downsides don't bother you, this tire is brilliant and the tread design aesthetic gets full points from me.

I purchased my tires in March 2021. I've put quite a few miles on them since with diverse climate and road conditions. Simply, they perform GREAT! They hug the road. My main reason for buying them was in the (heavy) rain at higher speeds on interstates, and off road--dirt/stones. I'm really very pleased. Needless to say good performance in snow. They also seem to hug the roads while navigating on bends/curves in the roads. I'm pleased with the purchase and highly recommend the tire. I will say I am waiting to see how long they last--how many miles I will get from them. That is the only thing I don't know yet! So make the purchase and know you can have confidence in the tires.

These tires continue exceed my expectations at 10k on my 2018 Lexus RX 350. They are the best ever in heavy rain for steering control. Have not tried them in snow. I had a flat on the rear and had no indicators till a passing motorist motioned me over. The tire tread design might be an acquired taste for some,but are worth the extra cost for the quiet ride ,safety and dependibility. I'll put them on my wife's Avalon.

Bought the CrossClimate2 in 2023 and used them less than a month because although they had good road handling, they were very noisy, rough and did not provide a smooth ride. I replaced them with the Pilot Sport 4S and am satisfied, but nothing ever came close to the Premier A/S I purchased in 2019. The Premier A/S were the best ever in ALL aspects 10/10! Unfortunately Michelin does not make the Premier A/S anymore for cars.
