Excellent customer service and great products

Purchased two of the 10,000 watt tri fuel 3 yrs ago. I used them for first time this year. All was well with one unit but the other one I had trouble with the motor. Called champion and they sent a new motor for it. I was in the market for a larger generator and decided to stick with champion because they treated me right and their products do seem to work very well. Very satisfied.

Works great, just one downside so far.

I just did the break-in portion so there's limited use on the generator itself. So far, it works exactly as expected, very easy to use. The only issue I have is finding replacement parts. At the time of writing this review, the online store was "temporarily" closed and I was not able to find a replacement oil filter anywhere.

Love my Champion Generator!

Lost power today due to a hurricane so had to put my Champion generator to the test. Have been running it now for several hours and has done great powering what I need in my house. I bought the tri-fuel model and ran on natural gas from my home, was worried it wouldn't be able to handle everything I was going to run but I am pleasantly impressed. Would recommend it to anyone who's got natural gas in their home.

Quality product

The his generator fired up within 2 seconds of pushing the start button. Doing a break in period this weekend, have some concerns about the CO sensing system since it seems to activate even in an open environment. But will contact Champion as soon as I finish break in. Materials used to manufacture this generator look very good, quality is there and simplicity and was of use is great. We'll see how it does on other fuels after break in.

Great features

This is my first generator, but it's going to power my whole house during any outages. The ability to run on natural gas was a big deciding factor and the 50amp outlet made this my choice. It's nice to have all the features and options on this unit. It's big, and heavy so have a good shed available or some other shelter when you aren't using it.

Very impressed so far. Plenty of power to spare.

Bought this generator for home power backup. If you know anything about south east Texas AC is not a luxury here but a necessity. I installed a soft start kit on my 4 ton central AC unit, wired in a 50 amp outlet box to my breaker panel with safety interlock to prevent back feeding the grid. Installed the wheels, filled the unit with oil, connected the battery, hooked up a propane tank and it fired up first try. Connected 50 amp generator cord to unit and outlet box, switched from main to generator power in my breaker panel. Unit runs entire house with AC unit at 50% output. Very pleased with quality and function so far. Priced very competitive with other brands of similar power outputs and tri fuel capability.

Great Generator

Only had to use once since purchasing in November after recovering from Hurricane Helene and the generator did not disappoint. The noise was very minimal and there was no power “fluttering.” It is easy to roll in and out of the garage. It is a bit larger than expected, so if you purchase, make sure you have help if you are moving it from one place to another. So far, great product and worth the money.

Tri Fuel 12,0000W Generator Model# 201161

I have a smaller inverter generator from Champion that I've owned for years and I mainly use it for my RV and it has never let me down. Ive been researching alot over the past few years for one for my house. We loose power alot at my home. All the roads that I've been exploring has led me back to Champion. This generator has been delivered to my home quickly and with no issues it comes with clear easy to follow instructions to get it up and running. I tested it using propane so far and it started up with no problem. It powered my whole house perfectly. It seems to be well built and hoping it will be dependable like the smaller one has been. I picked it not only for the power and build quality but for the dependability.

This is the One!

This would be my 4th generator, since before Hurricane Ike. In Houston you have to be prepared for a Hurricane like any coastal community. Including an occasional snow storm. I bought this after using a 9500 running watt generator after Beryl. It did well but would bog down, momentarily, whenever the 4 ton A/C kicked in. I have it connected to an interlock with a 50 amp plug-in on the breaker box. Over the years I incrementally increased the size of my generators. And figure this one should suffice, for needed wattage, along with the added horsepower of a V-twin engine. I usually fuel up 65 gallons of gas in preparation, of the hurricane season. But having the Tri-Fuel flexibility is a real plus, should gas be in short supply or inaccessible. I can tap into my meters natural gas. I have already tried the propane for the 5 hour break-in. I am glad I made this purchase. It was good investment and gives a sense of security.
