I purchased this brand based on price and reviews—instead of another higher priced brand that I have at work. This fan is inferior in that it is quite loud and it does not have much range in its oscillation. On a positive note, I like that it has a Sleep setting that decreases the fan speed hourly.

Every time you turn this fan on it gives off an odor in a closed room the smells like it's melting plastic on inspection of the fan there's no place to the gets hot and there's no reason for this odor but it still stinks I can't even use this fan I bought a Lasko fan before but this units really disappointing

I bought this fan and I am happy with the product, the only negative is a design flaw that creates what others mentioned about a loud noise. Since the drum is verticle, if not secured properly it will rattle. Well after about a week, it makes the loud noise people complain about. Also, though it doesn't bother me, there is only about a 30 degree oscillation.

Ive purchased Lasko fans for years. Mainly due to their duribulity and have always have had Lasko fans that make very little noise when in use. I purchased this one due to the other ones I purchased in 2013 were starting to fail and I had used both fans every single day, including the winter. When I sleep I always have a fan on and I used the ones purchased in 2013, every night when sleeping in addition to the summer months when warmer outside. I was happy at first when I received this newer model, as the one I purchased six years ago had been discontinued. The fan in the beginnig was quiet and did the job of keeping the room cool while using. Additionally, the fans look really sharp! I needed two fans, so when I got this one and was happy at first, went ahead and purchased the other identical one. After using for close to a month all I can say is that I'm really disappointed. The fans have 3 different levels of speed. When I have the speed at only 1, the noise the fans make are ridiculous. Sounds like a cheap cylider fan running continuously, or trying to keep running. I can hear the fan running while in the other rooms of the apartment, something I've never experienced with the last Lasko model I had for six years. The loud noise will get quieter when you put the speed on 3, however, still have to deal with this continous loud noise coming from the fans while in use. When trying to get to sleep with something like this only causes aggravation as it definitely interferes. Both fans make the same identical ridiculous noises when in use. Looks to me that Lasko spent money to make the fan look pretty, however, definitely spent little money with the inner workings of the fan to allow the unit to run quiet. The fan I have from 2013 is quieter than these fans and that one is failing with loud squeaking sounds coming from the unit after using for 15 minutes, and that is after using the unit continuously for six years without issue.This is ridiculous to pay the expense for fans and have this experience. I have given the fans 3 stars do to the fact while running they do keep you cool and the unit does look nice in any room. However, you have to deal with the noise the fans produce while doing so. Very disappointed with Lasko for this unit.

Got it for a large living room as supplement to my central air. It looks very nice in appearance, but performance wise, disappoints. I have a small portable fan 1/3 of its size which has better air flow than this. I'm keeping this solely based on its appearance as it goes with my decor but don't count on it for any cooling.

Great fan that doesn't take up too much space. We have enjoyed an older model that got beat up in a move (it still works great, duck tape is holding the base together). The remote is a huge help in surviving nighttime hot flashes giving me the ability to turn on or off without getting out of bed.

Bought one about 2 months ago due to the need. Liked it so much went back and bought two more to replace my wants. IDK why I feel like it's blowing cold air. I know it's not, it's a fan not an AC. Could be because it's still fairly new. Also the ION helps with the nasty STENCH coming from my teenage boys room. I like it alot. It's slimmer, stylish, cooler and quieter (nothing like me) BTW it was sold out in most store. Had to go out of my way to pick more up. Sells fast. If you see one available, GRAB IT AND Run... Don't forget to pay.

I had two of these, same story. Great at first. the fan was nice and quiet. But after about the 1st hour it developed a hum. After a day it turned into a buzz, after that a rattle. Returned. I don't know if I just was unlucky (2 for 2), or if a lot of them have the same fate. If it had stayed quiet, it would have been good, and I would have given 5 stars. My experience would have earned 0 stars. I hope my experience was the exception, so I gave 3 stars.

It's a good fan, but, after a couple months the oscillator function stops working. Price is decent. I still bought it again! The fan part still works, the oscillator part doesn't last as long. One of the best features is the timer. Not all fans have timers. I would recommend this fan.

This tower fan is all the its advertised to be. The base is easy to attach to the tower. The comfort (cool breeze) is heaven sent!! Very little noise while on, convenience of remote, and all options provided (speed, night setting, oscillation) makes this an asset for anyone. Don’t know how I lived without it.
