I love my new vacuum!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted a robot vacuum so when I got an opportunity to receive one in exchange for an honest review I was so excited!! I must say my excitement and expectations were without a doubt met. First I’ll start with the negatives, it sometimes has trouble finding its way back to the base. It always makes it but it can take a bit and second the area she cleans with one drive by seems pretty small. Other than that I have no complaints, the suction is very powerful on both carpet and wood, we finally have a way to keep under our bed dust free and the navigation is great. I did a test by putting some dirt/crumbs on the ground before I left and by the time I got home it was all picked up. My photo shows what it collected in under an hour in our pretty clean apartment. I know more expensive robot vacuums may be better but I truly think this one does everything I’d want and more!! Amazing value
Does not work on rugs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited for this vacuum, especially where it said it has powerful suction and is good for dog hair. I let this thing run for over an hour and it didn’t seem to do much. It’s like the dog hair collected but then was smeared all across my carpet on every path it took. I did work better on my LVP and laminate flooring but dog hair is my main concern. It seemed to move right by some of it and not be able to pick it up. I figured the suction would have drawn it in more than it did. Maybe this would be good for someone without pets, but I would not recommend it for someone looking to help with dog hair cleanup.
I'm glad it was free because it didn't live up to the claims on the box
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have five dogs so I was really excited when I saw that I was getting this item. Overall I'm not impressed. The suction isn't very good, the box says that it's powerful on pet hair, but I unfortunately didn't find that to be the case. Plus it doesn't hold very much. It's annoying to have to empty it so frequently. It does seem a bit sturdier than some of the other robot vacuums that I've seen. I'm glad I didn't purchase this item.
Great, easy entry level robot vacuum!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shark Ion robot so far seems like a great entry level robot vacuum! However, read my full review prior to purchasing! Setting up an account and getting the robot started was super easy. Basically you download the SharkClean app, create an account, then connect the Shark Ion to your network. You are supposed to charge the vacuum first, but besides that getting it setup and creating an account takes less than 20 minutes. Once your robot is charged, connected to your Shark Clean app & WiFi you are ready to begin vacuuming. The robot is remote controlled via the app, or on the actual robot which is a nice feature. The robot has 4 buttons on it, all very clear and easy to read. A button for the dock, which will send the robot to the docking station. A button to clean, a button for “max” which controls the power/suction and finally an on/ off switch located on the side. The app and the robot itself is very responsive. I was able to quickly change the settings of the suction via the app and it would change almost instantly. If you told the robot to go to the dock on the app, it would pause for a few seconds, then begin going back to the dock. I was very impressed at the responsiveness of both the app and the robot. The app itself is very simple, easy to understand, and responsive. You can also change your email after creation of your account via the app, which is a big plus. You can create schedules, within the app, for when your robot should vacuum which is very convenient. It is also extremely simple to create a cleaning schedule. Simply just hit the side bar, select schedule, then hit the toggle button to enable it and select your days/times. You can also see your robots cleaning history in the app (more on that later). Now for the robot itself. Overall, it did kind of have obstacle avoidance but not really. The robot would just drive its regular speed into the walls, furniture and baseboards. However, if it did run into something, it would spin and try to find a different way/direction to go to. It was always able to redirect itself except for when it got stuck. The robot only has three cleaning modes/power levels, “Eco”, “Normal” and “Max.” However, between the 3 modes I didn’t notice a difference between suction sounds, which I thought was very interesting. All of the patterns on the floor seemed to look the same so it was hard to tell if there was a difference between any of the 3 modes at all. It sounds like a typical vacuum, not too loud but not quiet. After the cleaning, there is no mapping feature that shows where it cleaned, no report of what it was stuck on or any obstacles it detected/avoided. It does, however, give you a timeline but if there was an error - it just says it “paused” in the timeline. Not a deal breaker, that is something can be changed in a software update in the future. Overall it just says how long the cleaning was, and it has a calendar feature to show you when the cleanings took place, which is a nice touch. The actual clean job itself seemed like it did a relatively good job! If you had a lot of pets, this probably couldn’t be your sole vacuum but could help reduce the cleaning frequencies. This robot does require you to “prep the area” which means a general cleaning of the area is required prior to vacuuming. Shark says to remove all obstacles such as loose power cords, clothes, toys, and low hanging drapes/curtains before your vacuum begins. Which is something to consider if you’re contemplating purchasing one. You would either have to ensure the area is clean prior to the cleaning schedule each time or don’t have a schedule, to ensure the robot can complete vacuuming with minimal assistance. If you are looking for something very basic, simple, easy to use, and you can clean the area prior to use, you don’t want tons of smart features and can maybe watch it vacuum while in the same room or supervise it- I would totally recommend this robot vacuum for you! This is a great entry level vacuum with an actual functioning app - which is a big deal for IoT things these days. It will require some assistance like making sure the floor is clear prior to the job, or assisting it if it gets stuck but if you’re just looking for something to get the job done - this will do it. Overall, for this price and this category of robot vacuums, I would say it’s a great robot vacuum. However, if you’re looking for something that has a ton of smart features, does not require as much supervision (aka don’t care about it running into things), you want mapping functionality or true obstacle avoidance (not requiring any prior cleanup), I would suggest looking at a different robot vacuum. However, those vacuums are much more expensive and I would say in a different category. This is a great robot vacuum option for its category and price. Just consider everything mentioned in this review, and determine what is the most important to you in a robot vacuum.
W/ Remote Control!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So happy with this product! The Shark Robot amazes me again! It can be controlled from my phone if I am out also through Alexa or Google Assistant. Completes a thorough clean on carpets and floors with a deeper clean. Three brushes help it get in corners and along your walls. Pet hair. no problem! The Robot has a two hour run time and because it has the three brushes, it collects more at one time. Love it!
Fabulous addition to your home!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Shark ION Robot Vacuum RV754 from Influenster in return for my honest review. Being someone who is always on the go: A mom/wife/teacher…my daughter is in multiple sports/activities etc it is almost impossible to keep up with anything in the house let alone vacuuming! This little cuttie is my second hand mama! Right from my phone I can easily schedule cleaning whenever I want..so effortlessly my floors are cleaned! It’s not clunky, loud or obnoxious. The design is sleek and pretty. Fits perfectly into my beautiful kitchen. At first I thought I’d hate having it out and about on the floor but I love it there. Especially when people are over and they ask about it.
Shark ION Robot Vacuum RV754
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the Shark Robot Vac arrived, read the manual, and downloaded the app. I had an issue pairing the device to the app. I had to “reset” the vacuum a few times, this fixed the issue. The app is easy to use, and it does a good job of walking you through the setup. A great vacuum for light or maintenance cleaning. It uses bounce navigation, if the vacuum runs into things it tends to change direction at random, so it is bound to miss few areas. It did an excellent job going from hardwood to carpet and even an area rug. There were some issues with the kitchen and dining room table and chairs due to the size and shape it was not able to get in and under those areas. Important to know, as mentioned above the vac uses bounce navigation so it moves at random, so it was sporadic when cleaning. This product could not get into the smaller spaces and in corners, it works better in bigger rooms with less furniture than rooms with many obstructions. The dirt bin is easy to remove and clean. I was pleasantly surprised at how this vacuum worked. The setup was easy, it has decent battery life, it did great on both hardwood, carpet, and area rugs. I would recommend the Shark ION Robot Vacuum RV754
Pretty decent robot vacuum!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Shark Ion Robot vacuum free for my honest review. After using it a bit, I think it’s decent but it does have its limitations. I wouldn’t recommend this for a house with more than one or two pets. It picks up hair decently, but doesn’t have the most powerful suction. If you have too much hair it does fill up fast and requires emptying. It may be good in a household with a cat or a dog that doesn’t shed a lot. I’m currently utilizing this in my crafting room that only the cats can get into and it does do well picking up hair and sewing thread that inevitably falls. I do like the vacuum and it works well in the right application!
Must have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little vacuum is a life saver!! I have it set up in my room, I keep a cat litter box in my master bath. Since having this I haven’t had to bring out my bigger stick vacuum to clean up from my kitties. Having run this for a week now, I’ve emptied it 2 times just to see how much it’s truly picking up. All I can say is WOW. I’ve only had one little issue and that was it got stuck under my bed between my shoe totes. I have hardwood floors and a few small bedside rugs, this shark vacuum glides over both with ease. The app was easy to set up and connect to my internet. I have a set time where it will vacuum at noon everyday. It takes about a hour to a hour & half to run and then finds its way back to the docking station to charge. It’s very quiet. Although I love this little shark robot vacuum my kitties are not so keen on it just yet.
Great vacuum.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to setup use, clean and entertaining to watch it do its job. It picks up almost everything and manages to get around my house without much issue. The vacuum is very sturdy, well built and very easy to clean and maintain. The collection reservoir surprisingly fits a lot of debris and is very easy to remove and clean, the brush comes out easily so removing hair and fibers that get tangled are easily removed. I do have an issue with the app however, I cannot get the vacuum added to my app so creating maps and enabling voice assistance is not possible for me. I have tried for hours but I cannot get passed adding the robot to my Wi-Fi, I've tried different routers, I just cannot get the robot to register. Overall, a great vacuum, it does a great job at cleaning carpets and floors without issue, though I do wish I could get the robot to register in the app to take full advantage of the product.
