I can sync up with my Galaxy phone, and answer calls and texts on my Tab A8 while doing things on my Tab. The extra 2 inches in screen size, compared to the smaller Tab A makes a huge difference. I would definitely recommend spending a little extra for the bigger screen, more memory, and new features (phone sync). The Samsung branded book cover case is almost indestructible. I had to buy an off-brand with the last Tab A I purchased, and it didn't hold up, I had to get a new one in 6 months. I'm on my Tab A8 constantly, my average battery time is over 24 hours, and that's with constant gaming. Great little machine to have, I own 2 now. I was able to retire my Tab A models that were getting a bit long in the tooth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my tablet for business. I use it for taking notes and sending correspondence. I also use it to watch videos on YouTube and listen to music. The screen is beautiful and the tablet response is pretty fast. It has a good amount of storage on it and I really like the overall design of the tablet. The pictures it takes are okay but I never use it to take pictures anyway.

I decided to replace my old Tab A 8 inch for more RAM and memory. Wasn't happy with the smaller Wi-Fi nly options so went for this larger 10.5 inch. I wish I would have paid more attention that it no longer has Fingerprint Recognition and now relies on Facial (plus traditional keypad). The facial is a little finicky to operate and there is a constant reminder I have the display in a mode to light up my face (which cuts into battery life). Once I use Facial to log in, I am stuck with multiple applications (especially password manager) that used to accept simple fingerprint to open. Now I need to wake up the digital keypad and enter the pin for all of those. In addition, the commands in the Taskbar are now tiny little icons for Back, Home Screen, etc. at the very bottom of this large tablet with no apparent way to make them any larger. Plus it is going to take me three days to work through all of the miscellaneous fine tuning settings for things I don't need -- and now lacking Fingerprint and Larger Taskbar Icons that I do need..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far my experience with this tablet has been extremely positive. My primary use is for email, news, mobile games, and to get so many of these IoT apps off of my poor old phone. I love that it uses android 11 and keeps all of my passwords and bookmarks in sync across devices. The play store is well stocked with apps to control my robot vacuum, thermostat, air filter, google tv, and more. My phone is pushing 5 years old and space is precious, so it is really nice have a device that can handle everything outside of phone calls. I'm pretty thoroughly hooked on brawl-stars right now and the game is silky smooth on the bigger screen. The screen looks really nice. The resolution is high enough that everything is crisp and easy to read. One thing to keep in mind about this device is that it is clearly designed expecting the user to buy a case, which there are tons to choose from. The bezel is extremely small which makes for a beautiful image, but you'll want that case to give you a little more to hold on to. The camera has a bump that could be annoying when setting down without one. For what this is, though, it is an easy 5 star review from me.

It has a lot of memory and connects easily with my other Samsung devices. I also love the long battery life, and sturdiness of it. This is my 5th tablet in this price range and it's by far the nicest and most versatile of them all.
