This works as I expected, just great! Perfect size for my needs. I replaced an old tablet of another brand that gave me fits with poor performance from day one. Since I've had Samsung galaxy cell phones for years and never had any issues, I figured this would be just the ticket. I'm highly pleased and definitely recommend!

Samsung really is the best

I don't do much with my tablet--listen to satellite radio and play solitaire. This tablet is perfect for the purpose.

samsung tablets are a cut above others. it is $100 more than equivalents from other brands. it is faster and more resp sive...most important. disadvantange is bloatware. Samsung wants to take over your life and use every app that is from Samsung and they try and integrate it like google already doo. avoid them by NOT signing into a Samsung account...but there bloatware cannot be uninstalled and drags down the system. this is such a serious problem yhat you may consider using another brand. what is confusing is memory. you need at least 3 gb ram, more, the better. storage memory that comes with it is less important because you can buy a cheap sd card with huge amount of memory. In the end, I surrendered and bought samsung

This is a good tablet with excellent capabilities. The volume controls are hard to operate, but not impossible. The one I returned was so hard to control that I considered volume control to be impossible. Therefore, I consider hard volume control to be a problem with the Galaxy Tab A8 model. The only other thing is not, strictly speaking, a Samsung issue, but a little forethought on their part could have prevented it. My previous Tab A has a very slightly smaller screen, such that the excellent leather cover will not fit my new Tab A8. There is also no one making a good leather cover for my new tablet. Also, since there is only a very fractional increase in the size of the new one, the increase is not discernable. If the new tablet had been made the same size as the old, then all of the existing peripheral accessories would have been available. As it is, nothing. The tablet itself, though, works well, except for the volume control.

I love Galaxy Tablets and this one is very attractive and has a nice screen but they lied about the battery life on it. It's horrible. The specs says the battery lasts for hours and hours when I may get a good three house out of it before it needs charging again. The good thing is that it does charge fast but to get any length in battery time I have to keep it plugged when I'm using it. Very Disappointing. I would think it would last at at least a day.

I think the packaging was inadequate. Walmart shipped it in a plastic bag. My charger isn't working and it doesn't feel like a real Samsung charger. I didn't but it from a seller on Walmart but I can't tell if it is a refurbished item because of the charging cable. I'm very disappointed that it was shipped in just a plastic bag. I don't know if it was tossed around and now it's taking forever to fully charge and fast charging was part of the new features with Samsung. Tablet is nothing to write home about. It's almost exactly like my older one that is 5 years old.

I have ben working with their customer service for several days. The touchpad is so large that you cannot select a single active icon. As an example , I can touch the keyboard letter F and get a G V or C to type. There is in Settings, Touchpad to allow selection of Small, Medium, or Large touch area. However, four hours on the phone with samsung and their clueless support is enough. I constantly have to correct selections, spelling. I cannot press the X to get off a page as the lock is within the touch area and it activates the security link. Samsung wants me to send my tablet back in exchange for a used factory reconditioned tablet. Thre weeks old, scrap.

Good tablet, EXCEPT - it kept dropping wifi. Even when my Samsung phone and other devices had no problem, this tablet dropped wifi, and for a minute would forgot the PW to reconnect. I found numerous blog complaints about this, and Samsung's support response is "reboot the router and tablet"! Sure seems like a software problem they should have fixed long ago. Thankfully Walmart has a good return policy.

It says it is off line ALL the time! When I try to start something it won't let me! It is supposedly off line even after trying to fix it! I can't do ANYTHING on it! I wasted $300 on something I can't use! I am very upset! ☹️😞😡
