I had my window air conditioning unit installed over the weekend and can't believe the difference it makes when the temperature is in the 60s.. I can't image how nice it's gonna be when the temps are in the 100s. I've always done my own vehicle repairs, I'd usually try to do the work in the Spring because it's just too hot in the Summer.. now I can work in the garage year round. I highly recommend this window air conditioning unit to anyone looking to stay cool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this in our addition master bedroom in Florida that does not have vents running to it for central air. It is powerful and definitely cools down the room in no time flat! Its runs quiet and so far we have not had any problems with it and we use it every night. Installation was pretty easy but a little difficult at the same time as it is with installing any window unit and getting it to sit properly in the window. It comes with a remote which we love and is super convenient. I believe it also has WiFi connect but we do not use it as we have no use for it.

This is the crappiest AC unit I have ever purchased. It has now broken down on me twice. Both times the unit worked for a few weeks then proceeded to stop being able to cool. It would turn on but the fan inside had stopped working. I should have went with a different company instead of purchasing this unit again.

We replaced an aged inefficient window unit with a new 10,000 BTU GE unit that delivers in so many ways. It is extremely quiet, it cools our “always hot” loft completely as well as our living room which is below the loft. Installation was easy considering that the unit is 40+ lbs. and the remote is easy to use. Highly recommended!

I love this unit, it’s very quite and does a great job. My only complaint would be that when it’s in Eco mode, it shuts off and doesn’t sample the room temp. It only comes back on when the temperature probe get warm enough. This causes the room temp to spike. So,I short, it forces you to put it in cool mode (stays running) and this defeats the eco mode savings. Oh well, it’s still a great unit.

Worked great with no problems for thirteen months then one day it simply quit working and even though the light on the plug to show it has electricity supply the front face board buttons no longer lit up or responded to touch and unit would not power on.

I like the product description. I hope it lives up to GE's reputation. The first thing I wanted to know was how to get the AC out of the Box. The instructions were not very detailed. I did not know what to do with the foam side panels. I had to watch some videos on installation, but they did not answer my questions. I do not like the buttons. I have had bad experience with soft buttons. But it may help keep dirt out of the buttons as they are not mechanical.

Unit is not as quiet as expected. The unit cover vibrates due to poor exhaust fan balancing.
