Taste is smooth, nutty, with a little brown sugar sweetness no harsh bitterness. Strong enough for a morning kick but mellow enough to drink black. Makes a great latte too because the body holds up in milk. Only downside: if you hate that classic “Italian” robusta edge, you’ll notice it.

First, the pros: they were compatible with our Nespresso machine and dispensed the perfect amount of coffee. The color was perfect and it had a lovely layer of foam. Next, the cons: the taste. The coffee itself was way too bitter, and the aftertaste left much to be desired. You could taste a stark difference in its competitor’s similar roast and flavor profile. Final thoughts: there was total consensus in our household — the Lavazza Supercrema capsules were not for us.
