I received this Vizio 5.1 soundbar this morning as a Christmas gift, and it was extremely disappointing. I followed the instructions exactly, set everything up properly, and it initially worked — for about four minutes. Then it suddenly turned off and would not turn back on. I tried every troubleshooting step I could find online and in the manual. I unplugged it, reset it, checked all connections — nothing worked. The soundbar is completely dead after barely being used. This left a really bad taste in my mouth, especially since I've been waiting a long time to get a soundbar and was excited to finally have one. Instead of enjoying it, I spent my time trying to fix something that should have worked out of the box. I'm returning it tomorrow and don't even want an exchange. I'll be getting a refund and purchasing a Sony soundbar instead. After this experience, I won't be buying Vizio products again.

My only concern is that it doesn't have a remote control to use it with another bluetooth devices and it keep on all the time. I bought it to connect a non Visio TV and it work great. it's compatible with it.

Vizio removed the physical remote from this soundbar, and they don't make that clear. Using a mobile app would be convenient, but the app now requires creating an account with no guest option. A product like this should be fully functional out of the box without forcing customers into an app and account. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who cares about privacy or having full control without extra requirements.

Picked this up at Sam's on sale for $159 to match my Vizio TV that we picked up at Walmart for $350 so I have about $500 in the whole setup with the 65 inch QLED tv. installation of the Soundbar was very easy and the sound is very good. I would say the only drawback that I see to the system using it with the Vizio TV is it takes up one of your HDMI ports just for the soundbar. there is no HDMI in on the soundbar to do it with one HDMI port you have to use one HDMI port for the Soundbar and one HDMI port for your streaming box on my TV that only left me with one which I already needed for a security system. other than that I am very satisfied with my Vizio purchase

Con:1) Bluetooth would not connect. I tried different devices. This means I can't change any sound settings because you need to change them on an app. Bluetooth would not connect to my phone or TV. 2) No remote - I would have to unlock my phone every time I wanted to change the volume. I have one TV with hdmi/arc, but the other TV doesn'thave hdmi/arc. Pro: 1) I was looking for sound improvement compared to standard TV speakers. I was happy with the quality. 2) Simple wiring of speakers It took 5 mins. The rear speakers are powered and connected to the wireless subwoofer. It is easy to place the subwoofer behind you. Then, connect the rear speakers behind you without running wires around side walls or the ceiling.

New one loses connection with its subs and side speakers often causing a reboot often. Sound is ok for the price. It's not in a main room of the house so it's fine.

The soundbar sounded decent for the price. But like others mentioned, there is no remote, you have to go through the setup on your phone. But cumbersome to have to download the app and set it up. But everytime my phone screen turned off, the connection to the speaker would be lost and would not reconnect. I had to completely forget the device and go through the setup process again. Did this 5 times before packing it back up and returning it.

Sound bar is very weak on sound. Connectivity for sub woofer is spotty even at 8- 12 feet away. The mini speakers are even weaker on sound than the sound bar. Would not recommend this for a great sound system to buy. This Vizio sound system doesn't live up to the standards that Vizio normally puts out. Bought 1 week ago.

Great value for the buck. Just wish it came with a remote (had to buy it on line)

Haven't received it yet! It has been 2 weeks since it was ordered.
