I just bought this litter because I wanted to start buying tidy cats. It seemed like a decent litter for a reasonable price. Until I actually used it. The smell is so overpowering and smells like alcohol. It almost makes me gag. I won't be buying again.

My usual litter is freshstep scoopable mutli-cat. I have two cats and two litter boxes. I purchased 3 of these boxes on my last visit(Only get to Sam's once every 2-3 months#. I decided to do a comparision--so one box is my usual freshstep -from Sams and the other litter box was tidy cats with glade. I started off by cleaning the boxes with soap and water and then put in clean litter. Been usuing both boxes now for over 3 weeks-scooping everyday. First off- there was very little dust-if any- compared to my "usual" litter. Loved that. Second-i like the texture and clumped very good --had less little "crumblies" or left behind little stuff-- than freshstep when scooping. Loved that. The smell is a tad on the overpowering side. It does not stink -just EXTREMELY STRONG. Cats would not use the box with Tidy in it for a week--i had to add a box of baking soda to counteract the strong smell. After the soda was added they started usuing it-actually only one cat will use it#the other one just does not like ANY kind of change#. Had less litter tracking on the carpet with Tidy.-Loved that. Added benefit was Tidy was alot easier to pour into the litter box. Also it covered the urine and feces smell--cause all i could smell was the STRONG glade smell-everytime the box was used. For me -so far it has done a good job and i like it #like it alot more if the smell was a little less-not just for the cat's sake but for mine#. I dont think i am going totally off of freshstep--but i might do -one box fresh and the other Tidy. Plus -if the cats wont use it--there is no point--and so far I only have one cat that will use that box. I have tried most the litters on the market - the cats and i loved cats pride -fresh and light in all area's except one-it never covered the smell. I would recommend this--so far but you might want to add a box of baking soda to help with the smell-if it is too strong for you and the cat--which really defeats the purpose of no dust cause you just added a box of dust to the litter. Over all-if you and your cat can handle the smell--it is a good litter.

It actually smells nice and keeps cat odors down. We have 2 male cats, so stink can happen quick. We have used this for a week, and with daily scoops, there really isn't a smell. Highly recommend ! As many other reviewers here I've also been a big fan of the Tidy cats Instant Action and when I saw this new product with Glade I thought it would surely be even better. NO, JUST NO! First of all the smell is terrible! As soon as I opened it I realized I would not be purchasing this product ever again. But still, if my cat didn't mind the smell so much and it worked just as well as the Instant Action, I was just going to finish up the bucket. But now, after trying it out, I realized this litter does NOT clump as Instant Action does. It is not easy to scoop, it smells terrible and it's just an overall terrible product, I wouldn't recommend anyone to use it and now I'm even thinking about just throwing it out and getting new litter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The actual litter is great, it clumps well and doesn't break apart when sifting. However, I was not a fan of the scent. I'm not sure why I dislike it as I normally use scented litter, but this particular scent was not pleasant to me.

I recently purchased the glade product and really like it, i just changed litter in the box and that tub of litter continues to have no odor after 3 weeks. the dust seems to be down as well Our apt does not have a cat box odor, I do like the pail that the product comes in, it is great when i clean the box and put the old stuff in the pail.. Glad I tried this product.
