The Villains Movie Theater book is great for a memorable fall activity with little ones. (Mine are 3 and 6 years old.) Pros: The book has familiar characters, decent storylines, and is not very scary for young kids. The projector is easy to use and a unique reading experience. My kids have enjoyed flipping through the pages and playing with the projector so much that they've been storing it in a carpeted storage closet for days. Cons: The projected images can only be seen in a dark room, so we snuggled in the dark closet to read. If it's dark enough to see the pictures, it's too dark to see the book. My daughter had to stand at the switch to turn the lights off and on as we read. Going back and forth from the book to the projector was a bit distracting from the story. Also, the reader has to switch out projector disks in the middle of each story, which is another distraction. Overall, I think it's a good purchase if you're looking for a fun fall activity to do with the kiddos. If you have one person manning the projector, one reading, and another with a flashlight or using the light switch, it would be a lot of fun.

This is such a neat book and projector. My two year old granddaughter is obsessed, but it is actually a bit advanced for her to use a loan so it would be great for older children as well. Once she find the perfect distance from the wall, the picture comes in clear and is very pretty and colorful. Kids really enjoy being able to follow along in the book with the projected images.

Cool! Somewhat comparable to the Viewmasters from the 89s-90s. At first I was disappointed in the picture quality and then I realized there was a focus knob. This was a game changer! My son really liked putting the disc in and taking them out and turning them. Overall pretty cool!

This is the cutest little picture projector and book! I love the way the picture slides help to tell the story. I like that the book has a little holder for the projector. Another thing I like is that the picture coming off of this projector is perfect! If the picture is blurry, there is a little focus dial that can be adjusted that makes a perfectly sharp image! This is perfect for my 4 year old that is still learning to read!

This is a great book and the interactive experience that it provides is excellent. I have a three year old that loves it, however the interaction is only going to last for a short time before it's just another book. I can't imagine any child or even any parents would be able to keep up with all the parts long term. There is no storage on the book to keep it together even if I worked really hard at marking sure my children (one being 15 who reads to the 3 year old) put everything together in something I provided I still can't even see that last long. The book is special because you can project images on the wall but after the prices are gone so is the thrill and it's just another book.

My daughters love the stories in this book and enjoy having extra pictures to look at while I'm reading the story. They love using the projector. The light could be brighter, but it's still super cute. We are big on the Disney movies in this house so I have a feeling this will be the bedtime story book for a while.

My 6 year old daughter and I opened this item together. She couldn't wait to use it. We found a dim room with a white wall and she was able to get started right away! Very easy for older kids to grasp the concept, read the numbers and understand. I love that everything can be stored together and clipped back into the book so it doesn't get lost. Overall fun book for kids that will keep their attention while reading for a few extra minutes. Happy mom.

Cute pic book for the kids, but the hologram didn't work very well. It's good to have for the collection but I'd much rather have just the book. The design and make of the actual product was very well made of course! The concept was cute and was a cute unraveling !

This is a great idea in theory. The projector has to be very close to the wall in order to see the image. Also, you have to turn the lights off to see the image. With the lights off, how do you read the book?! The book is beautiful, with bright glossy pages. The projector works as it should but best in the dark and closer to the wall. I am disappointed and wish it worked better in a well lit area so you could use the projector in sync while reading.
