I am impressed %26 obsessed, so so so VERY much!!!!! Although that's dramatic--It could not be more true! I live in an apartment, this is such a perfect freezer for smaller spaces (large too!). It looks little but it is MIGHTY! The shelves are really strong and sturdy, as well as convenient for keeping organized! The entire freezer is insanely great quality. It's gorgeous inside and outside! You need it and deserve it, hit that checkout button right now!!!

Great unit - perfect for 1 or 2 people.

This is a great unit for 1-2 people and it is garage ready. The unit itself is great, but it came minus one of the leveling legs and Frigidaire's part department is giving me a hard time about sending me the 1 leg I need. They are saying they need a clear photo of the other 3 legs to match it. I live alone and there is no way i can tip this over to obtain a clear picture. I have provided them with the M%26S numbers, one would think they should be abkle to replace it based from the information.

Small freezer

I love this small size freezer. It’s wonderful. It fits in a smaller place and we can keep ice cream in it and keep it frozen. Our refrigerator doesn’t have room for our ice cream and with us people we need plenty of ice cream. The only thing I don’t like is if it’s not self defrost.

Great Buy! Garage ready!

Very nice. It's a great size, but still sleek. Looks good with the stainless steel and blends in. There are several shelves. I always wanted an upright to save on space. I have it in the house, but good to know it is garage ready as I live in the mid-west winters and hot summers. The price is right. Highly recommend.

Great upgrade from a chest freezer

Way better option for me and my family over a chest freezer where you can never get or use things at the bottom. I can see everything clearly in here with all the shelves. not as tall as I expected which is a good thing, saves space. No sound from it and sleek looking. wish it had a light but I understand why it can't have one due to temps.

White spots on black trim of door

It has some type of white specs all over the black trim of the door. It appears to be manufacturer defect and I am seeking a refund. As for performance, it's great (just the appearance is messed up). They also put a sticker directly onto front of door that reads "Garage Ready". I was able to remove the paper part of the sticker, but the glue is another story and quite unsightly. It'll be difficult to scrape off without damaging the stainless steel.

Great unit!

We were surprised to see such a great price on this freezer unit. It was well packaged and came fast. It does a good job keeping temperature. We have it as a secondary freezer inside our home. The shelves make it easy to organize our food inside, and the footprint is smaller because it's vertical instead of a chest.

Good but no asjustable shelves

Purchased because of the single door, upright and needed them for cakes. The ONLY downside is that the shelves are not adjustable. Otherwise, great! The freezer was light enough to carry into the garage. Once out the packaging, took less than 5 minutes to set up and maybe 2 hours to really feel the cold. I was able to store cake layers and buttercream the same day. For an upright freezer, this is pretty good. No need to defrost anytime soon, the air circulation inside seems pretty good.

Hello AJandDogMom, we are glad to hear you are finding your Frigidaire Platinum Silver 6.5 Cu. ft. Upright Freezer useful. The shelves are fixed in place because the refrigeration system evaporator coils are attached to the underside of the shelves for cooling efficiency. This is a standard design for manual defrost upright freezers.

HORRIBLE CONSTANT FROST BUILD UP. RUINED MY FLOOR

It was dented when we received it. It accumulates heavy frost almost immediately, even though we have adjusted the thermostat, defristed, and started all over again. We have done this three times already, but within a few days, it is thick again with heavy frost. We try to catch the water as it drains, but it goes all over the floor. it has damaged my kitchen floors and I will have to replace the floors. This is costing me a LOT of money and I am a senior. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS!

HelloG, we appreciate your feedback and would like to apologize for your recent experience with the Frigidaire Platinum Silver 6.5 Cu. ft. Upright Freezer. For parts and warranty support, please visit https://www.curtisint.com/product-support, email support2@curtiscs.com or call 1-800-968-9853.
It sounds like your door is slightly out of adjustment - here's a tutorial how to diagnose and resolve the issue:
How to Reduce & Resolve Frost Buildup in Upright Freezers, Refrigerator and Freezer Compartments of Refrigerators.
Frost occurs when moisture in ambient air touches the cold evaporator coils, metal shelves and interior sides of a freezer or refrigerator.
Steps you can take to reduce frost build up:
Move your hand around the outside of the freezer/refrigerator door. If you feel cold air, then the door is not sealing adequately.
You can adjust the door by loosening the top hinge to reposition/adjust the freezer door to create a tight seal.
Adjust the front levelling feet of your unit such that the front of the unit is slightly higher than the rear. Gravity will assist the door to close with a proper seal.
TIP: Close the door on a dollar bill (or similar). The dollar bill should not easily pull out - there should be some resistance. Perform the “Dollar Bill Test” on the top, sides, bottom of your freezer door, and adjust accordingly.
Do not over fill your freezer to prevent food items from shifting and preventing the freezer door from closing properly.
Place only cool or cold food items in your refrigerator or freezer. Hot foods introduce humidity into the food storage compartment, which contributes to frost build up. Allow hot foods to cool before placing them in the refrigerator or freezer.
Wrap foods tightly with plastic wrap. Butcher paper is not an adequate wrapping material. Glass container lids typically do not provide a proper seal.
Dry the exterior of food before storing. By the time you reach home after purchasing frozen foods, the food items may have defrosted a bit and moisture may have already developed on packaging.
Reduce the amount of time the door remains open. Labelling and organizing your foods so you can easily identify them will help shorten the number and duration of freezer trips.
Set the freezer temperature so the freezers interior compartment stays around 0F (-18C), as higher and lower temperature settings contribute to frost build up.
Door Seal Care:
Keep the door seal clean. You can clean your door seal with a solution of one tsp of baking soda to a quart of lukewarm water. Pour the solution onto a clean sponge, and wipe it over the seal. Sponge off the solution with clear water and dry the seal with a clean cloth before closing the freezer door.
Keep the door seal flexible by lubricating it with some petroleum jelly (e.g. Vaseline). Wipe it on and wipe it off with a clean dry cloth.

Sticker!!!

I hope you like scraping stickers! They plaster a sticker right on front of unit that says garage ready. With adhesive that could withstand a nuclear blast. Tried everything. Good off razor blade…. Of course now front door looks like crap and is all scratched up.
